but if you take the two draws and the one game lost by one point and add a conversion to Hull in each of those it would look much better. If ifs and ands were pots and pans (whatever that means)...

I think we're about right in the league.

On the positive side, we've had several unfortunate serious, long term injuries this season and last which has meant we have blooded lots of young players - something we were crying out for under the previous regime. Our team tonight was very inexperienced in SL terms and Wigan (whilst young) was made up of players with not much less SL experience.

It's easy to point out the negatives (with everything in life) but look how many young players are finding their feet in our team now as regulars - Shaul, Crooks (injured), Lineham (injured), Arundel (injured), Bowden.. you know I'm bored of listing them...

We won a game tonight that would certainly have been lost in previous years. I'm not sure we'll get much further this year but the experience the younger players is getting will stand us in good stead next year. Lineham staked his place, Crooks his... can Shaul do the same? etc etc.

Of course I could see that getting to Wembley was much much better. I'm jealous as . I'd have rather gone to the game and lost and to say we got there then to have never have gotten there at all.
