What we are asking for as fans is consistency.
Thats the challenge for a new coach and it wont be Last.

That’s been your challenge for the past 10 years!

He missed his vocation of being a top RL coach so I'd doubt very much he has a decent shag in him.

| Quote: Mrs Barista "I agree it was daft from Griffin but your patience, defence and execution were a playoff lesson - over the 80 minutes you dominated every aspect of the game. Top performance from the benchmark club.
We could’ve gone either way after 20/25 mins and whilst we’ve been renowned as being good in these games over a ten year period, we’ve been pretty dire since Lam came in at even competing in semi finals. I was pretty nervous at that 25 minute mark and it was nip and tuck. It’s never a 29-2 game but we’ll take it and hopefully get the job done at your place next week. I fancy Saints will win tomorrow and probably have a bit too much for us in the final but hope I’m wrong.

I'm all for it but I think he's done a good job for the hand he was given. Just don't think people need to be calling for his head, he is a decent guy to have a round.
He is certainly made us play better and tonight was a step too far. The new coach will inherit a better squad tonight then if he took over in March.

Interesting comment that, I thought well before the end that we were perhaps a tad outcoached tonight. That said Andy has done a fabulous job this year in the most difficult of circumstances and he should be applauded for that but I'm sure we had a good game plan but they were just one step ahead of us all night and we couldn't change it.

Last was very down beat, naturally because we’d lost.
When asked about being Coach next season, he just said he was still contracted for next season, but hadn’t had any conversations about being Coach, though expected to have them in the next couple of weeks.
However, none of his previous post match comments about wanting the job and that every game was an interview.
Just sounded like he’s already been told he’s the Assistant Coach next season.
If so, he did steady the ship and improve peformances and gave us something to cheer about prior to tonight’s game.
Andy’s a good bloke who stepped in during difficult circumstances and did well. However, at the end of the day I think we need a more experienced coach who can take us that extra step forward.

| I think the fact we looked so disjointed was a lot down to Wigan in fairness. They don't give you any time or space to play and we couldn't really cope. We also didn't really have much time on their line between minutes 20-70 so when we got there we tried a bit too hard.
Plenty of industry, just a little shy on quality.

| I think tonight for me showed why Wigan will win the Grand Final - their defensive intensity. It is constant, relentless, but that doesn't mean that we should just give up or adapt a game plan to counter that. We had no Plan B. It was very Radford-esque...if we couldn't go through them, next time we will try to go through them.
Sneyd very average. People laud his kicking game, but for me, its pretty poor. Finds the full back consistently, not enough distance or height on his kicks.
Taylor and Sao were fantastic. Ratu at fault for the Burgess try and was pretty anonymous tonight.
The referree was appalling. He didn't affect the winners of the game, but definitely the scoreline. Off the top of my head I can pick out 5 or 6 glaring decisions that were incorrect and what they do is affect momentum, or they tire the players out with repeat sets, or the loss of 30-40metres, or tries that would have been scored getting pulled back.

Ratu's biggest failing is trying to solve defensive problems that don't exist. Once again tonight he comes inside when his centre has the situation covered.

IT WAS NEVER A PENALTY. KENDAL’s DECISION TO PENALISE HULL. ITS A SEMI FINAL- SHOULD SPOKEN TO THE PLAYERS

| It is a penalty infringement and has been since half way through last season. Griffin's fault not the referee's.

Question is why was Kendall given a game after the serious errors he made last week in failing to see anything wrong in McIlorums effort on Dwyer and Tomkins.

It wasn't 2 weeks ago when Singleton did it to Regan Grace. Consistency and all that.....

He didn't mate. He clapped his error but he never touched him. We also had Gildart penalised and sinbinned for the same offence last season. In fact Griffin's was far worse as he ran in from a distance and decided to knock out a few bars of 'When The Levee Breaks' on Partington's head. The ref's are infuriatingly inconsistent on most things and this is just the same. I could point to the forearm into Isa's face as one that should have been given but wasn't. Griffin's fault..no one else's.
Anyway, good effort by your lads, especially in the first 20. Also class in giving O'Loughlin the send off at the end. Most importantly thanks for finding your best form against Wire last week. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed that!
Good luck in your search for a new coach. Hope you get the right man.
