I know you like to protect the club and make out they do no wrong but he wasn't ever even doubtful.
Surely stating the obvious would have been a good thing in this case to save the embarrasment of releasing him having only 90 minutes earlier having your CEO singing his praises on a radio program.

Yup - I've never been known to complain about anything. Not Friday nights, the choice of coach, recruitment, signing Reardon, the choice of Captain, first team selection, bench rotation, not talking to HISA...
Warrington and Reardon both claimed that he was fully recovered and fit for selection. He was put in the 19 so that he could play IF that turned out to be true. It didn't, so he didn't play.
Simplez.

If the protracted medical process had completed even 10 minutes earlier, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

It's been a PR disaster from start to finish, although some of that has been down to unlucky timing.
The big mistake was signing him in the first place IMO. |
