Its Rugby League and like any sport impossible to perform at a high level consistantly.
Ben Crooks is getting the benefit playing in a side that is very well coached and plays expansive rugby.
Manu is playing too many continuous minutes, just like Mini last season. That needs to change and is one part of Radfords poor interchanges recently.
Pritchard is an impact player and needs to come on with Ellis after 20 mins not used as a starting forward.
Dont agree with you about Tiumavave. He is currently playing out of position at centre but was outstanding in the first two matches.
With Pryce out and Tiumavave at 6 you will see a player who can kick well, produce the telling pass and attack the line.
We are all bitterly disappointed about the recent results but its not time to panic into making wholesale changes.
When Fonua is back he should be played now at Centre and maybe for the Wakefield game bring Dean Hadley in as his defence is better than Thompson and move Michaels to centre and bring Naughton or Lancaster in on the wing

Pritchard was fine against Widnes - ran a lot of carries and made good yardage on most. It's a shame that our acting half and half backs don't use him on the dummy run more often because he sucks in plenty of defenders every time he makes the run.
Why have I got this image in my mind of you booing Steve Kearney ?

No thank, I'm sleepy enough tonight

| Quote: Mrs Barista "I do wonder, short of a Wayne Bennett, whom fans would be delighted to see us appoint. Powell is the obvious one but seems very happy where he is and realistically would be at best a sideways move for him to swap a highly functioning top 4/5 team for arguably bigger potential 7-10 scrappers. But beyond Powell, who is an ambitious but realistic potential target that would get fans really excited?'"
Geoff Toovey? Ivan Cleary? Unrealistic? - we always assume so, but do we ever ask?
Both are kicking their heels at the moment.

| Peter Gentle, got an injury hit team (that wasnt his own) to 5th in his first season, 6th and a final in his second despite being slagged off left right and centre and undermined/stabbed in the back by those around him.
I'm sure he could do something similar for us here and with the squad we have now maybe even better than his last appointment
Don't know if the owner has heard of him though.
Seriously though if Radford gets an extension on his contract at any point in the next 4 months then I'd have doubts over APs mental stability.
If we are realistically out of touch of reaching the top four come the 8s and are out of the cup then Radford should go before the next game is played and a new coach for 2017 sought.
My own personal opinion is that the owner should be looking now for a replacement coach as the one we have still shows no sign having the skillset to be a successful professional RL coach.

We finished 6th both seasons, Gentles recruitment cost him his job IMO.

What are you basing Tuimavave on? Was great in the first two games and did Ok in the other 3, whilst being quiet, certainly hasn't looked poor.
You can't blame one player for the Cas defeat, if you do, you clearly can't haven't watched the game, mistakes by various players including Talanoa, Watts and Pryce. Pritchard didn't have a bad game against Widnes, he worked hard and still isn't used right.
Manu has been good in all games, plays too many minutes though, so like Mini last year can get sloppy in defence, I'd move him into the middle and have Ellis defending out wide.

| Personally think we was doing well under Gentle and he deserved more time. Our recruitment has been better since then under Radford and Tony but on the pitch performance hasn't improved IMO and I would argue that for the most part we've looked worse.

You have to wonder who is to blame Mcrae or Gentle for signing players like Pitts and Arundel on big contracts?
The biggest worry for me is that Gentle wanted rid or to replace Shaul and Lineham, although you could say the same about Radford with a few of the younger players.

Pretty certain it would't of been gentle, he wouldn't of known much about either. McRae and Pearson would of been responsible for those contracts. Would of liked to of seen this team coached by gentle

| It's always easy for things to be said about what happened with zero actual evidence.
How much were Pitts and Arundal getting again?
Don't forget the bagful of money for Miller and anyone else eh?
Who openly said Gentle didn't want Shaul or Lineham, would that be Radford or Pearson, the two people who helped oust/undermine and sacked him and thus needed to justify to fans why they did so (again snd again and again)
Suppoedly in the deluded world of the Radford lovers everything positive was down to Radford and everything negative down to Gentle and McRae is garbage.
For all Pearson's supposed business acumen and micro managing he sure was a dope for letting all this crud go on under his nose and huge sums of money let flow.
But ruining Ben Crooks is all okay though, binning off our specialist hookers, signing losers like Carvell, Colburn instead of using the youngsters, playing an off form Yeaman constantly and wasted/pointless signings plus turning us from a team in contention and cup finalists into relegation fodder is fine.
For all the slating of Gentle he did far more with a weaker squad with not much support in the way of the asst coach and supposed inflated salaries than Radford has. We also defended better under Gentle..go figure!

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

| See Seb is basing all his facts on radio coverage as per usual.I thought Radford had turned the corner,2 good wins and 2 narrow defeats due to errors and then that happens,I didn't see the Widnes and Cas games due to work and having set hols and I don't have sky sports so cannot comment on those games but been told errors cost us the cas game and we was woeful v Widnes.Of all the signings, the one I'm disappointed in is Manu, not really done anything for me and is a very lazy defender, and don't say about minutes on pitch as he missed Flower in the 1st minute....Carlos is a class centre and way better than Crooks and Pritchard isn't being used right. As for possible replacement coaches,I just don't see why people get a hide on over Powell,he has done well with Cas but they aren't serious challengers in my eyes and have lost the last 2,1 to a team we royally battered.
