He went third man in the tackle a few times and just slipped off the legs. There are greater priorities for a halfback than defence though, sure he'll improve with time.

One thing positive about tonight

No play offs

A few more losses could still see us being close to the bottom, is it really nine years since Cardiff and the following year Old Trafford with so much promise. I have missed going to home games in recent years due to work commitments and to be honest I am not enjoying what I am seeing now. The cracks will be papered over and we will be offered this player and that player for next year I did not buy a season pass this year and I will not be buying one next. The game is suffering from bad decision making at every level now, the RFL is so backward looking in its outlook its unreal. Now whilst I am not going to blame the officials for tonight loss, they are a pretty poor bunch of individuals who collectively will destroy what is left without someone getting a grip any time soon.

So what would you recommend to make things better ? What should the RFL be doing and why are they to blame for your poor performances ?

Better than Thompson who has gone backwards and Hadley.......Tuson is a good foils for Ellis and does a ton of work but let's not stop him from being the 2014 scapegoat...also hope he is ok after what looked a bad injury

Tuson started the year running some good lines and looked good. What's happened since then I don't know. He was anonymous last night at best and spent too much time standing on the short side when the ball was going the other way. His tackling was ineffectual and with the ball in hand he just got thrown back in the tackle. We need a big nasty rough@rsed second row and I'd push Ellis up to prop and look to replace Tuson if we could find one.

You honestly just said Kent was/is a better player than Hadley?

Hayley's nothing great but Kent was crap and I could be biased to him as I know him.

That result doesn't equal the end of our playoff chances. In fact if I had to put money on who will take 8th spot I would still back us.

However I'm getting to the point where I'm not really bothered if we make them or not, because we are not capable of leaving a mark on them anyway. We are not going down regardless of whether Bradford get points back or not (they won't btw) so if it was down to me I would be continuing to blood youngsters and working on some systems for next year. If we finish in the 8 then it's a bonus, but if we end up 12th then so be it.

Fwiw I think we have taken some baby steps forward in recent weeks. If we can continue to show progress until the end of the season and maybe claim a couple of scalps then I'm not too bothered where we finish.

Dead Leg

The RFL is going backwards with promotion and relegation, some clubs will become yo yo teams other will bankrupt themselves chasing a dream that will turn into a nightmare. We have all the promotion helps the game, for the majority of the games history we have not had and the AUSSIES NEVER HAVE. I feel we will have to move to a more concentrated area for teams , very few teams make or even break even that is clearly madness. If that mean amalgamations then so be it because we can no longer support the teams we have, doing nothing will soon not be an option. The game is dying form the grass roots up, we are losing teams at every level in every area the team is played Hull is no exception. Radical has to be the way forward as RU is about to hack us to bits they see our weakness and are exploiting it in our own back yard.

The sky money will be used up supporting failing clubs and failing systems of operation that are no longer fit for purpose, the disciplinary system is clearly failing with inconsistency become very apparent. The referees are under pressure as they always have been, the present mob are without doubt the least experienced and fail to use there assistants at every opportunity. Last night I saw two glaring examples of bad reffing because if he did not see it he had no right to ref an u15 game. I am not blaming that for the loss I am blaming that for the fact that so many are no chuffed off with the games poor standards they are no longer following it. The attendances are not as good as they once where and are on a 1980s downturn because the product is getting poorer week on week.

Where did I blame the RFL or anyone other then FC for the poor performances ?

I thought Wire where poor last night and made FC look half decent, which they are not my problem with last night was the official(s) conspired to ruin a sporting event by design or by incompetence and its happening too many times for me now.
