| So when does Agar begin to be accountable for what happens on the pitch?.
Years 1 & 2 - Not his team,injuries & Kaths involvement
Year 3 - Injuries & Kaths involvement
Year 4 - Kath's involvement
Should we give him another 3 years before we judge him?. Has everything got to be perfect off the pitch before he gets it right?. Don't other coaches have issues that need to be overcome, in order to create a winning culture?.
The one constant in 4 years of failure, & going backwards on the pitch, is Agar. End of story.

| Reading some of the vitriol on here you'd think the Doc was responsible for poor team performances. If you think he's biased and blinkered about Agar then do the sensible thing and turn it off, don't listen. None of the BBC's commentators can be too critical about coaches as they need to maintain a working relationship with the clubs.
On a personal note, I like the Doc and think his positive slant on Hull FC makes a chalk and cheese contrast to the HKR bias of Gwillem Lloyd, Nick Pinkney, Lee Richardson and Chris Park.

| At least we know that Rich has a job lined up in a sportswear shop when he finally get's the boot, unfortunately though I fear it won't be long before the same old problems begin to surfaceJMSPORTS '[iRich, I asked you to move all those boxes in the store room, why haven't you done it?'[/i
Agar[i 'Us is injured, but us will move as many boxes as you want next year'
[/i
JMSPORTS 'Rich, I've noticed that you've been under-charging a lot of the customers'
Agar [i'Us isn't very good at sums, but us is learning on the job'
[/i
JMSPORTS [i'Rich, you're arriving late most days - you really need to be here by 9am'[/i
Agar [i'Us hasn't been provided with the right kind of alarm clock'
[/i
JMSPORTS [i'Rich, I'm afraid I just don't think you're cut out for working in a sportswear shop'[/i
Agar [i'Us disagrees, when us is running us own branch you'll see the difference'[/i

| Quote: JMSports_Ltd "As for Iest and Noble, Iestyn hardly had the same sort of chance as Noble did with Crusaders, especially as it was his first year in a Head Coach role.
There have been numerous problems faced by Iestyn. Add into that Noble had Jon Sharp and Iest as his backroom team and anybody who played that year will tell you Iestyn and Sharp were the Coaches, Noble didn't do a great deal.'"
I heard this argument before, but it just falls flat in a couple of ways. Firstly, Crusaders have largely the same squad this year, the only significant loss being Hauraki, but this year they haven't been assembled in a month, they've mostly already had a full year together. So if anything Harris has had a better chance than Noble.
Secondly, If Harris and Sharp did most of the coaching last year and Noble didn't do much, it's not really his first year as a Head Coach then, is it? He was essentially De Facto Head Coach last year.
The cold facts are that between last season and this season Crusaders have had only 2 major departures, Hauraki and Noble. The rest is pretty much the same, and they've gone from a rapidly-assembled squad who gelled pretty quickly last year to now mostly looking like they only meet up on matchdays and have no idea what anybody is going to do. It just does not hold up that the man overseeing the pathetic outfit this year should be given the credit for last year's successes instead of the highly decorated coach who was in charge then, and without whom they've fallen apart alarmingly.

Without question. If he's as good as you say he is he should have no trouble finding alternative employment after all.
And he said he'd walk if he couldn't take us forward. Maybe his mouth shouldn't have written a cheque his courage can't cover?
Oh - and he knew what he was getting into when he took the job on.
Quote: JMSports_Ltd "Justin Morgan will tell you he has not signed the players Rovers are bringing in now and that Hudge is doing it but he wont walk away until his money is sorted.'"
I don't care. Morgan isn't in the process of ruining my club.
Quote: JMSports_Ltd "There is more to life than worrying about people calling you gutless. I would rather have my mortgage paid than worry about what a few thousand people in Hull think of me.'"
I'd rather have my self respect, having made a public promise to walk if I failed. But there you go.

| Quote: Mrs Barista "Spot on. The chances of Agar being offered a job at a club at a "big" club are less than zero, so why would he simply resign when he has another 16 months to go on his contract? Morgan has a better chance of getting another SL job, but is supposed to be on a lot more than Agar, so of course he will sit tight and fulfil the basics of his job to receive his contracted pay cheque. Maybe he secretly enjoys doing so if he's not BFFL with Hudgell anymore.
I am sure he is enjoying every minute
People seem to think that Football Managers and Rugby Coaches should be men of principle and should walk away telling the World of how the club works on the inside and how they are taking a stand!!
Very few have enough money in the bank to live on for the rest of their lives and so many of them put up with it knowing they have a family to support and may never get another Rugby job again.
It is feck all to do with ability, it is to do with who you know. Almost every position filled in Rugby League is done by someone who knows someone getting you a start. I have exploited it myself enough times, everyone has.
Do people really think Agar would walk away from a wage when he feels strongly that he done nothing wrong?

Agar wouldn't walk even if he thought he was doing a bad job. Who would leave a job were they are getting paid for producing nothing especially when they know there is no other job in the foreseeable future in a head coaches capacity at least.

Are you seriously saying he thinks he's done nothing wrong? If so, he's even more of an oxygen thief than I already thought he was.
