Hull fans need to read them as well, this small club mentality that you think Rovers have is pure arrogance from your lot, both sets are agreed that Derbies play second fiddle to titles and silverware. You are all still under the impression that you are still up there like you where in 2005 and 06 but im afraid you have fallen and do not have the right to such arrogance over Rovers fans at the minute. Both clubs are currently of a similar stature and of a similar levels of playing, that’s why every derby could be won or lost by either team and that’s what makes it exciting at the minute.

I'm not sure which responses on this thread indicate anyone assuming anything about results in derbies, so it's difficult to see what point you're struggling to make. Apart from demonstrating the chip-on-shoulder attitude that typifies the very small club mentality you claim not to have, that is.

Do you think by posting that response that you are some how doing anything other than once again showing that you care more about been a big club looking down on a smaller club ?

My point which I think was obvious to people with sense and in keeping with the thread is that derbies are exciting and great games but are not the main prize of the season. As ive already stated they are nice to win but when all is said and done its only another 2 points that are at stake

If it meant us winning the title I wouldn't care if Paul Cooke scored every point in a 300-0 thrashing at the KC and I would happily applaud him as he raced in for his 50th try of the game whilst flicking v's at the east stand.

Tis not the responses I was referring to it was the fact someone felt the need to start the thread in the first place if it is only just another game, who in they're right mind would choose a derby win over silverware, admittedly they are my favourite games to attend especially at the KC due to the sheer atmosphere and banter of the whole day.

I'm doing nothing of the sort. In fact I stay out of the whole 'big club, small club' circus. It's pointless and circular. I was pointing out that your knee-jerk reaction shows an over-sensitivity typically associated with 'small club syndrome' as the phrase is used on these boards.

But I don't suppose that you're sufficiently self-aware to appreciate the lesson.

And the fact that the topic was posted on a Hull F.C board by a Hull F.C fan also goes a long way to showing who is over sensitive to the issue. It’s good that we can all discuss these matters on a forum and I do think that 99% of fans from both clubs would agree that Derbies are not the most important thing about a season. But I feel that the vast majority of the posters on here are obsessed with the fact that Rovers are a smaller club and feel the need to try and force the issue that we only wanted to be in the Super League to play against you twice a season.

I both love and hate the Derbies. It's great when we win and crap when we lose but the atmosphere is always excellent. I think it's great to see newbies from down under get their first taste. I always remember one at the KC when KR were in the lower division and our lads thought we'd murder them. After a couple of carries by their front row there was a bust-up. We were sitting with supporters from both sides and everyone loved it. Someone said "they know they're in a derby now". I think FC won pretty comfortably in the end but that part of the game epitomises what it's all about. Fitz and O'Meley will be in for a surprise - but I think they'll love it!

Back to the question - the Title every time (but can we win at least one of the Derbies as well please?)
