I would like to see a back 5 of Shaul, Talanoa, Sa, Crooks and Lineham; a combination of pace and power.

Eventually I think that's the way it will go but at the moment i wouldn't pick Crooks over Yeaman however much I'd like too.

Is it end of 2015 or 2016 signed till , just on website article says two and half year deal but sure read till end of 2015

As I said on another thread, I think Sa will take one of the centre spots alongside Yeamo. We need to get Crooks sorted in the long term though and make Yeamo a backup centre.

Agreed Crooks is the future no matter what people think of him at the moment.

And just as we didn't want Heremaia to hold back Cunningham we must not let Yeaman hold back Crooks or we risk losing him like the Josh Hodgson/Shaun Berrigan scenario.

Wouldn't blame him for thinking his future lies elsewhere though.

If AP's dream of a "local" team is more than just spin, players like Crooks are crucial to it.

Crooks is class with the ball and needs more time to develop physically and mentally to improve his defence. Definitely worth persevering with it's just a shame there isn't a better system (A team) for players at his stage of development to play regularly outside the first team. Donny is the next best thing so it will have to be there. On current form it has to be Sa and Yeamo although there's still a case for putting Ben on the wing as things stand.
