Quote yorksguy1865="yorksguy1865"I think the thing I noticed the most though, and a lot recently, was the desire by the lads to play together. I'm thinking of the moment near the end where we pushed one of their players into touch (I know that is vague but cant remember which one of them it was). Ours players were celebrating like they had scored a try. When Gaz was on the floor they were all immediately over to him to see if he was okay. That bonding and brotherhood that they have is something that cant be manufactured. It is the mood in the dressing room and the time they spend together off the field that does that and in the end shows they genuinely like playing together and like each other in general. Great to see!

Mini and Watts both rousing the troops when we went level. And sung with gusto as usual:

| Rovers tried to make the game scrappy and slow it down when possible and we fell into there game plan at times by giving away to many penalties. Feared the worst in the second half , any other season we'd have lost today . Shows how far we've come on , as were saying that after most games now . Not the best performance but did enough to win comfortably in the end . Massive game Saturday now , win and we move 6 points clear of saints in 5th !

| Yet again, we grab a game back that was slipping away. Shows the heart in the team.
The bonus is we deprive the Dobbins of two points as well.
Glad it's over.

| If we play poorly for long periods but still carve out a win then we are on our way to losing the 'nearly men' tag. I can live with that. Finally getting a winning mentality and can close games out.

| Think the game could have been more comfortable for us if we had a Thompson, Green or Hadley on the bench instead of Washy/Carlos. Wasn't enough impetus at times when we had our big forwards off the field. Washy has been very solid for us this season but him and Carlos on the bench means that we lack a strong running second-row/prop interchange.

I agree. Think covering Sneyd with Carlos (even though he came on and turned the game) cost us some size off the bench. Think this helped Rovers stay in the game as we lost momentum at times.

| rovers only chance was to slow our PTB down which they did pretty well but that brings about fatigue which is why we went away in the last 1/4 of the game and they had nothing to offer even when they had the ball in decent field position.
2 points, move on

Quote Doom&Gloom Merchant="Doom&Gloom Merchant"Nah, stupid would be to create online petitions with your name on to try and get a man sacked from his job, then leaving it online for people to bring up every time they need a laugh at your expense.
Here it is if anyone hasn't had chance to read/sign it:
https://www.change.org/p/adam-pearson-h ... terminated
Maybe with us being top of the league after 15 rounds would be a good point for you to issue a full and frank apology for the things you've done/said about Lee Radford? The Petition for example, or the personal insults like calling him a 'turd', or dragging his character through the mud by calling him a liar on multiple occasions, or the unfounded accusations of bullying younger players like Jamie Shaul.'"
Why stupid, because I don't hide behind a keyboard or a forum when I want to say what I feel, I actually linked to it myself so it was there for everyone to read and do whatever they wanted to, I made that pretty clear from the outset
I don't give a what you think sonny. Your disgusting behaviour on this forum toward myself is far far worse than anything I have said about Lee Radford. And as i repeatedly said, I was referring to him as a turd coach, but you are unable to read what I said in context.
Lee Radford HAS lied on multiple occasions, as has Motu Tony regarding aspects of the club which I demonstrated on the forum time and again so I'm not apologising for diddly. Unfounded, no, what happened was VERY clear, it was bullying and LR handled the situation extremely poorly and publicly (on local radio at the least) criticised, embaressed and effectively said that Shaul was a liar. I'd call that bullying. But still you won't copy & paste what I said in relation to that will you, just your sad ramblings about my petition.
At the time Lee Radford was dragging our club down at a rate of knots, my belief is that ANY coach in the SL right now would get our squad of players into the top 4, I said that LR should be shot if he didn't (& yet more ridiculous posts saying I've threatened to shoot him ffs!!) due to the quality squad we got this year, one far and away better than any we've had in many many years.
As I said that at the time of Chris Chester's sacking that given the same opportunity that LR had had, he would have done equally well as the coach of Hull FC and from what he's done at Wakey that holds true. You may disagree.
I've given plenty of praise to LR & the team this year and criticised when it was appropriate, even when we lost heavily against Widnes my posts were measured unlike many others.
But crack on derailling yet another thread, you couldn't help yourself could you!!

| If you only concede two tries in any game then you give yourself a good chance of winning. Thumbs up for the defensive effort today bit scrappy with the ball but defence was sound enough to get us the two points.
