| Wasted in the centre I think as he doesn't get his hands on the ball enough when playing there

True, but every time he gets his hands on the ball at centre he scores or sets someone up. He is also a really good kick target and his defensive frailties are less apparent.

| Plays centre for me if we go for him. Don't think he's been happy at huddersfield at all, his effort in the team song after their last win was very revealing

| He is a talent at centre and agree he has played some of his best rugby for us / England there, but I think he's a player that needs his hand on the ball a lot in games. Would give us more unpredictability on last tackle plays rather than Abdul putting a high bomb up and Trueman running it

| Hope we try and get Chan permanently. Release Pele, gives us two quota spots for a centre and fullback if Walker goes or another backrower would be nice, a Willie Manu type player.

Been told that won’t happen as Wigan rate him but we have been sniffing rd another 2nd rower at Wigan who is currently injured.

As tough as it as to find them, I think Hull are in need of some safer bets with their recruitment. Willie Isa would be yet another risky option after three serious injuries in three years. Great attitude and would be great for setting standards but I wouldn't count on him to play many games at this stage. Mike Cooper would probably fall into the same category - great in theory but how much would you get out of him.
Often during pre season or in the middle of the prior season in Hull's case (as 2024 is a lost cause), fans put their lineups together and they can look quite good on paper. But it's a pointless exercise if the side is so injury prone you rarely get to see them playing together.

I think I'd take any of the Wigan squad over Isa.

| For as good as he would be around the dressing room, at 36 year old coming off the back of a very serious injury is exactly the type of player we should be avoiding.

Have to agree.
Excited when Asiata was announced but its all gone backwards since then
bottom four for me but if we dont bring in at least two more quality players then it will be bottom two again.
Very average looking squad with a distinct lack of pace
