Yes we have the same points but performance wise you are in a poor second place. You also have the same number of points as Wigan. However as they also have performed better than you they are in third spot whilst you are in ninth. Points difference can be quite important, they can even be cause of relegation.

No club judges a season on just two or three games and I never said we did. Both Wigan and Saints do feel the season has been a failure if they finish below the other. It’s just that they are competing at a different level. If FC finished second to Wigan you would all be over the moon. If Saints finished second to Wigan they would see it failure. We are just enjoying being above you for the last couple of seasons. You and you ilk just cannot accept the present situation.
