On sat night i put a bet on willie talou (spelling) 1st & last try anyhow the bloke did not even lace up his boots so i was assuming my £10 to be refunded still no sign of it in my bank today so i rings em they say its a losing bet!!!! Wtf the guy did not play surly its a nr so to speak she says yeah in rugby union it is WHATS THE FOOOOKING DIFFERENCE?????

i`p pretty sure your right in assuming your bet would be refunded as a "non runner " this is the case in football with a first goal scorer.

I will be there - the Ebor is an excellent festival with some top class racing, only slightly spoiled by adding in an extra day (not that anyone goes on the Friday). Still, the important races are on the first three days - Ebor Handicap is a particular favourite (remember Purple Moon last year), closely followed by the Juddmonte (great race for Frankie).

Not studied form this year yet (too busy with the Olympics), but you can guarantee I will have my head buried in the Racing Post for the next few days.

Oh, and Ladies Day is nice as well.
