Heard a couple of weeks ago that Wigan had to make some room in the cap to offset the higher tax been paid by their overseas signings. The next week Pryce and Mellor went to Quins and ive been told more movement has to be made.

Does that rule apply if you have a European Passport?

I've just done a Sammut search on the HDM and one of the article reads he wouldn't take up a quota space and we'd still be able to sign up another Aussie I'd we choose. I appreciate quoting HDM is poor form.

Yes. His passport determines if he's on the quota or not, his SL registration date determines whether he's non-fed or not. The two are independent.


Amazingly enough they're wrong.

Technically they're not wrong, he'd be non-fed, but not quota.

What I don't get is that if Berro had stayed, we would still have had a non fed spot available.
So, how did he get to be fed trained status?
