| Quote: Dave K. "I hope so, with covid and the rules in Australia being so tight, it will be hard to sign NRL players, so not sure we will get better. I think Ma'u will get better, we have seen signs, but not consistently.'" i did hear online rumor that mau`s agent had been hawking his services round other SL clubs a few weeks back, so i would hope on a reduced contract if he stays
(imo he dont seem the great line runner/breaker billed when signing ?) or is it how we use him

| Matt Shaw broke the story on Mcintosh too.
It's not certain till he's announced, but I'm pretty confident after reading Matt broke the story.
He seems well connected to Hudds, and tends to get more right than wrong.
Looking at his stats I was surprised the amount of metres he makes. Racking up over 120m per game, apart from the .match against wakey when he played FB.

| If it proves correct that Hudds are signing Fages & Lolohea
then they will need to release one or two players to accommodate cap space.

They offered McIntosh a two year contract extension.

| Good bit of business , If only we can move Fonua on as well that would give Hodgson even more options in recruitment .

Wonder if that means not only is Sezer leaving but also Cogger and/or Gaskell as that would have to be a lot of cap sat doing nothing each week.
I thought Hudds were rumoured to have made McIntosh a significant offer to stay but he turned it down?
Fages by all accounts is pricing himself out of staying at St’s by sounds of it.

| No way is Fages worth mega money. As someone else said, he’s helped by the systems they have in place at Saints.
Never been one for having overseas spots tied up with wingers. Can see the changes already BH is putting in place with signing MacIntosh.
Cas seem excited by signing Bureta and Radford certainly seems intent on continuing the formula he employed at Hull.

If he gives them a Challenge Cup win, they’ll be happy. Powell gave them 2 finals and bottled both. Just wish we could have beat Leeds that fateful play off semi

| I wonder if Cas would take Faraimo now, waste having an expensive quota player who cant get in the 17 and we could look for an overseas forward.

Our forwards like Satae, savelio, Sao, mau all more than good enough
Houghton and Johnstone are the problem offer nothing from hooker and never have
Hopefully Hodgson will finally see this Houghton can no longer hide behind "defence"

Mau the last few games is looking a lot better. He came close to a line break a few times yesterday and repeatedly poked his nose through and had his arms free, we just had nobody there on his shoulder to offload to.
Definitely would be extending his contract if he keeps this form up.

So we extend his contract for a couple of years based on he nearly broke the line. If we keep this squad together as it is expect the same outcome, mid table finishes and valiant defeats in the cup. It's not strong enough and our overseas contingent needs to be better.

I think Ma'u has been a decent signing, without being outstanding, injuries disrupted him last season but he finished strongly, plays full 80 minutes caswell.
Having two quota wingers is the issue, particularly when one cant get into the team
