Even with a full squad we've had some tonkings and good victories.
But based on that squad alone I'm hardly inspired. Dawson as a 1st choice wing sums it up for me so here's hoping that isn't the correct starting 13.

Now you're just being pedantic but to spell it out, yes 1st choice out. I'll simplify it for you and specify Dawson as 1st reserve is still rating him to highly.

Just think with the injury prone players we are waiting on and our senior players been a year older , that this squad will struggle . I don't want them to obviously , but looking at that 17 and even with players coming back , we have gone backwards last season and in my opinion will do so more, this season .

I think Hull are lacking a ball playing fullback, for all of Shaul's qualities he doesnt assist many tries does he? In the modern game fb's are like a 3rd half back. I think if Radford had a bit of vision that Albert Kelly at fb would transform Hull's attack.
Instead of 5 drives and a kick to the corner or a barge over you'd have a player capable of spreading the ball out to the wingers like most teams do these days.

Or Connor. Either could work.

Well yes, if you are actually scoring them. But if teams know that you have to rely on them then they become easier to defend. The more options you have the more dangerous you are.

I don't disagree tbf. The only issue is how he would adapt to the positional and defensive side of the game. Connor has played the position, I'm not sure about Kelly? But yes his pace, strength and ball skills would make him a nightmare to defend against when he comes into the line late.

connor would be a much better option than kelly at FB.

its one of the reasons why we need a new coach if he goes for Dawson on the wing and Griffin at centre.
If we sign Ratu he should play ahead of Dawson.More pace, better defence and strong going forward.
I would play Logan at centre and Miloudi in the halfs or on the wing.
Radford will go for four forwards on the bench so use Griffin off the bench as an impact second row.
I guess a lot will depend on What happens to Connor and whether we sign Ratu.

The thing is, I don't actually think Shauls asked to do those things , I can't remember to many scenarios where , shauls in a position to make those kinds of passes, surely if they trained everyday using those structures , Shaul could surely learn to do that. I'm not sure a change of fullback would lead to different results in our attack

I agree with most of that except that I think Scott has overtaken Logan now.
