Don't make such a bold statement if you don't have the ammunition to back it up.
'"
I was replying to your Q of when we last took 3000 away on a Friday night.
In my guesstimation we weren't far shy of that number when we played you at yours last season.
It was first game of the season and we went in numbers but I don't have absolute proof because I was busy getting p!ssed rather than counting our support through the turnstiles.
Have you got a bent nose by the way?
nb... We probably took that many to the Probiz as well and I'm thinking from memory that was also a Fri night (?)

| I'm very much a traditionalist, I'd love to see Featherstone/Halifax/Leigh compete in Super League, but they have to earn their spot. Catalans bring a hell of a lot to the competition, focusing on their lack of away support as the primary reason for not having them in Super League is daft. I've never been a fan of the London experiment so personally, I would replace them. But, as has been mentioned, the twelve best teams will compete.

No you didn't though. You're opening contribution to this thread was a statement:
"We had that many at your dump when we played you last season on a Friday night."
This never started out and still isn't a question of FCs fans loyalty, as it is common knowledge that you travel well in numbers. I was simply pointing out to the OP that you can't decide to kick a club out of SL purely based on how many fans they bring to an away fixture, otherwise the league would end up being reduced to 8!
It appears to me you either read my opposition statement wrong in the first instance or you saw a Leeds fan posting on the FC board as threat and decided to have a pop!
Let's ask the same question a different way, just to make sure you don't think I'm questioning the FC travelling support, out of the 182 fixtures per season (I've done it based on 26 rounds because it wouldn't be fair to include the magic weekend in this) how many have 3000+ away supporters at them? And out of that number how many are on a Friday night? - I bet you could probably count them on 1 hand.

I just know fans avoid going to games because of lack of away fans/atmosphere, KC was very quiet on fri, which we knew was always going to be against catalans, it just always makes me think of the days at the boulevard when i more or less first started out, the Entat/Mackey days we was playing oldham, leigh, fax etc they seemed to have loads of fans when we used to swap ends behind threepney, i know the games developed so much but has it gone so much that we are trying to bring it on in the wrong areas? fans say we get no media attention why is this? maybe because the wider audience dont want it? our game is bringing the french on & mostly aussies who are not getting a game on there own shores, the decent british players are tempted away by healthy cheque books, & who can blame them, Hull is a massive rugby town with 2 clubs in SL & last season we had 5 teams in the top conference league yet but how many hull lads are plying there trade in kr or fc colours? not as many as there could be because we fetch in the quick fix foreigner, pushing home grown talent aside this making british international rugby stay as it is so close yet so far away.'"
The fans didn't solely stay away just because a potential lack of atmosphere. The weather on Friday was horrible, the choice between a nice warm living room watching on sky or a freezing cold stadium with gale force winds was probably a very strong leveller!
You talk about no media attention, how much attention would you like? I mean sky have signed a new 5 year deal, the bbc are still covering the challenge Cup, everyday there is something in the Hull Daily Mail regards to one of the Hull teams!
Home grown talent - you do realise the rfl genralised in this department? Home grown meaning British talent (which there was an abundance of playing this weekend across all the fixtures), it's not restricted to say Hull Dockers. Yes eventually we lose a lot of our superstars to either the NRL or union but it's a trend that will always continue, it's not just a sport to these guys it's a job and like anybody you want to be the best at your job and to be the best you want to go up against the best - that and/or a big payday!

I can't give you a defining head count but gave you two examples of large travelling numbers on a Friday evening last season.
Firstly, your place, first game of last year. Nervous anticipation of the forthcoming season, very large travelling support.
Secondly Cas. Proximity, balmy summer evening, many fans favourite away fixture. Always seems to be as many of us as them. Very large travelling support.
And yes, I'll go with your handful scenario, but I never said anything different.
You were specifically asking about our club.

| Any one who thinks Catalan Dragons don't deserve to be in Super League is a moron. They are more successful playing wise and financially than half of the teams in Super League. A strong French team also creates tones of spin-off revenue streams for RL as a whole that teams playing off the M62 corridor could never draw.
In answer to the OP, the worst two teams this season. Best guess, London and Wakefield ( but hope its Bradford, administration twice is a disgrace , not that I blame the fans mind )

| Simply answer is that the top twelve teams in Super League at the end of this season deserve to be there. I don't agree that a team should be dumped out because of their location. Cats deserve to be in Super League as they have been a good team and have earned the right to be there. Personally I don't think London should still be there because they have struggled but if they finish 12th this year then they too have earned the right to be in Super League.
I am a fan of the RFL trying to promote the game and develop it in non-traditional areas as I believe the game needs to do this to grow. What I don't agree with is when they parachute a team into the top division as they did with Crusaders. By all means let the RFL back a "project" team but they should start at the bottom and earn the right to play in Super League by working their way up the league as other clubs do.

| Simple answer to the OP. Any team which finishes in the top 12 deserve their place in Superleague. Number of travelling fans, quality of pies, price of beer, etc., have no bearing on the teams ability and this is the only thing which matters.

This tit-for-tat rubbish started when you decided to have a pop at me. Before you showed up I never once questioned your away support.
I asked the OP when was the last time you had 3000 travelling fans at the KC (excluding rovers)?
Maybe it was a little confusing for you that one, I'll be sure to make myself clearer next time!

| with regards to the friench am not sure yes its good to see the game in france growing and in 20 years we might see that it was a good idea, however the atmosphere at there away games is terrible for the game especially on sky ,my comment to my dad watching the cats fc game when cats scored was i think someone just droped a pin in the car park, maby there club could arange some sort of trip for there fans to atend maby 2 or 3 away games in nombers per season?.
but for london i think rl is wasting time we have tried and tried and tried, i work alot down there and have spoken to many about rl and the truth is most dont even no what rl is, they have union and as far as im concerned they can keep it and stay down there, unless some multi millionare whants to throw his money at them big time i dont think anything will change. and as someone else mentioned its a shame to see well established teams with massive history and potentially good following ie halifax ect struggle
