Yeah, no, you're right - instead of investing in the future and youth development of the club, Gentle should be magically transforming two ageing players into world class half backs. Silly PG.

You mean we shouldn't actually address the fact that we haven't had a fully fit scrum half since Tony Smith, by looking at the whole issue, from first team to juniors? We've got some experienced players in (and if you say Galea, Prince - if he signs - and O'Meley aren't quality too, then I'll know you're a WUM) and PG and his team will develop players at all levels.
I don't think PG considers himself "clever" and tbh he had more to look at in his first season than just the half back area.
I don't buy your disappointment sorry.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Harry Tyson Wilson?
How is the squad shaping up for next season?

Simple. Seymour is terrible. The only thing keeping him here is the huge contract he was handed by the previous administration. Pearson admitted as much, to his credit.
Horne has NEVER EVER been a halfback, despite playing under 6 coaches and having kicking lessons from Gary Pearce. He started as a fullback and was moved by McRae to the centres to sort out his defence and still has only one trick in his repertoire; the ridiculous inside ball pass that is farcically telegraphed and never works. He should have gone 2 years ago.
Wouldnt you rather see this club create the new Peter Sterling, Sean Long or Lee Briers from a local lad?
Think before your next knee-jerk reaction. In fact, you sound like a Rovers fan. They can't spell Galea or O'Meley either.

At 19s our big 3 players will be Cunningham, Starling and Wilson. The player who I think will step up next season will be a 18 called Zach Braham who's a front rower from Doncaster.
As for a team it depends how many 16 year olds are going to be playing in the side as its a huge step up as they could be playing against first teamers.

| As a Rovers fan i'll only say this once this year (promise), I agree with Mr Gentle. You would think with all the players in Hull that between us we could produce a decent half instead we keep importing them, to varying levels of success.
The thing that bugs me is that Mark Aston, Garry Schofield and various others have suggested the same thing over the years and been shot down in flames. The principle is sound but where is our Andrew Johns to train these players. Look at all the clubs coaching staffs in SL and spot the out and out experienced, talented former half who can teach these kids. Answers on a postcard please, but you'd need to write in big letters to fill the space and justify the expense of a stamp.
Good luck with this project, and because I love Rovers first and Rugby League second, all the best for next season. The stronger the Hull clubs are means there's less Lancashire teams in the top half, and that is always a good thing.

| Unfortunately I don't think we have a player from the under 18's (Last Year) at halfback who will make the step up, (We would have had one, but he left us to sign for Wigan a while back).
We do however have some very good halfback talents in the younger age group, Josh Wood, Jordan Abdul (If as rumoured he has signed for Hull and not Rovers as expected) and Harry Tyson Wilson.

Harry will be playing under 16's next year, is in year 11 at the moment.

Another good shout.
I'm amazed some players aren't specialized skills coaches coaching at a number of clubs.

Would be better than our feeder arrangement with York!!
