As for not performing with heart, they put it on the line and didn't give up until the whistle went on 80mins.

It was an uphill task before the start with the patched side and 3 or 4 players playing pretty busted to start with then add Yeaman, Pitts & Watts we were screwed.'"

Think you have hit the nail on the head.Still can't get over Tomkins trying to get Westerman sent off.

It's to be expected from that prick.

Final verdict:

Decent games: Briscoe, Lineham, Watts, Lynch, Manu.
Effort but pretty ineffectual: Foster, McGoldrick, Heremaia, Aspinwall.
Lost to injury with not long enough to fairly appraise: Yeaman, Pitts.
Clearly not fit enough to have played: Whiting, Westerman.
Struggled: O'Meley, Green, Nicklas.
Outright poor: Seymour.

Plenty of players missing tonight and for the most of the season, but we've gone back to playing how we did under Agar imo. Not just tonights game, but for a long time. Clueless, slow and yet again no friggin' runners! Players just stood waiting for the ball when someone is running across the field! Fecking joke.

Great to hear the Hull fans singing for their lads even when their side has been rode like the school bike. Your fans are a credit to the club imo.

Men against boys, we weren't very good but they are so good, the speed of play is miles ahead of ours and what we should be aiming for, the way the young players just slip with ease into their style of play.

Not going to focus on the negatives, as I think they are pretty obvious.

Positives for me:

Effort, we really tried, anyone who thinks difference wants to give up supporting Hull.
Lineham, thought he stood up really well, looks an exciting talent.
Starting props, played very well, made lots of yards and offloads, really liking the look of Watts.
Usual suspects Manu and Whiting.

Somehow we have to pick ourselves up for next week, going to be a very depleted team against a very good side.

I'd swap Briscoe and McGoldrick.

I don't know where I stand with Seymour, I can see why he's uninterested but he's still a professional.

If Nicklas is still at Hull next season then surely it'll be only to hold the tackle bags in training. Not picking him out on tonight game. He's just not good enough at all.

After watching that on Sky all I can say is I am really proud...

Proud of our supporters who you could hear over the Wigan most of the time.
Proud of the effort our players put in right up until the final minute.
Proud our heads never went down.
Proud we weren't playing most of Leeds academy on loan.
Proud of how players now slot in from our junior ranks.

Just as the Wigan game at home this year, I keep wondering why I'm not more disappointed but we are putting foundations so we have more strength in depth. We are playing a much more fluid style. We got a few calls against us but then some went for us so now ref affecting the outcome this week. Well done to Wigan and we have a lot to learn from them in squad development.

Oh, and stop telling tales Tomkins, you are a great player without that crap making you look a t1t.

Thought Green played well. He isn't afraid to get stuck in and puts himself about considering he has only played around 6 games.

Don't think you could have asked more from the team tonight. Wigan away isn't the best of fixtures for us at any time, let alone all of the injuries before and during the game.
We were no match for Wigan, but we never gave up, and I cannot fault the effort.

Lynch, Green and Watts (until he was injured) worked their socks off, and Manu looked class.
If I have to be critical, then I would have to say Seymour was disappointing - was hoping he would rise to the occasion. Also felt O'Meley didn't match the efforts of some of the other forwards.
