| Quote PAUL M="PAUL M"We spoke to him or his agent back in Nov/Dec but we ended up signing Thorman. I very much doubt we would want him now. Hull are looking for a top SH for 2010 so bringing him over would make no sense. He does the same job as Horne really and we have Hall and Motu for FB.'"
That's my view too.
I don't see the point in signing him just incase Thorman or Horne are to get injured. There are players within the squad who can cover the halfback positions for a few games. Only if a longer injury occured, should we be thinking about bringing in another halfback.

| Quote Superbowl Scott="Superbowl Scott"I dont really buy into the whole hes a 6 not a 7 tbh. The way Hull play we could name Horne at 7 and Thorman at 6 and both would still play the same type of game.
Its like Leeds, do you think Burrows is a scrum half ? Sinfield is always the organiser and majority of times is at 1st reciever but hes named at 13.'"
I agree numbers are irrelevant, what I am saying is Horne and Witt are both runners which imo would leave us unbalanced in the halves.

Witt will organise a side alot more than Thorman imo.

Not convinced myself, he drifts in and out of games quite a lot. He never organised NZW last season.
Don't get me wrong he is a top player, capable of brilliance at times and he is blessed with some fantastic skills. I would just rather keep our options open for a SH in 2010.

Makes more sense but then Agar can't sign a utility back that he has been talking about.

I havent seen Thorman organise a side since he left London TBH i just dont see what Thorman brings to the side. The odd good kick thats all, whereas Witt will bring that and a hell of alot more.
Who like for 2010 though ? Please dont say Orford

I would love to have Orford here but theres more chance of Danny 2 playing 7 for Hull next season.

I agree those who are holding out for Orford are going to be disappointed.
Witt is available now and we have a spot, it doesn't take a lot of working out.

Witt is a better player than Thorman and Horne imo so I would like him to sign as a player. My only worry would be how well they worked together.
I would prefer a SH who would control and dictate games, I have no preference tbh but I would certainly take Orford, always been a fan of his.
