I blame the coach for poor preparation and a lack of motivational skills. I believe it stems from the likes of Peter Sharp wanting the players to approach games methodically using science too much rather than approaching a game part scientific but part aggressive. We don't seem to go for aggression at all. It's all completing sets and winning the arm wrestle. Just once in a while i'd like to see us smash the f*ck out of them and force a mistake instead of waiting for them to get to the 5th tackle and kick it.

Indeed, but the intensity is there anyway with the science in Oz just because of their size, speed and strength. We need to get back to some basics i think.

Didn't mean basic with ball in hand/style of play. I meant basic around aggression and power rather than method and control.

Our game used to be about giving someone a clatter and running in as hard as you could. It's now about turning the tackler to slow them down and finding your elbows when tackled for a quicker play the ball. That takes a lot of the decent stuff away imo as players are concentrating on the wrong things.

It's the way our game is going... i'm not a fan.
