| Deffo got some work on their hands if we are to believe the fitness mantra. Myler & JC have been banging the drum about.

Because it's a salary capped sport and our budget only stretches too far, he might have set up two tries on Saturday but how many other decent games has he had / runs of games in the team, how far away is serious injury number 3? It's the same with Carlos and Cator, we're not getting good cap value from them so they need to unfortunately be moved on.

| You can put Balmforth in that Abdull chatter
Watch the Wigan game at the start of the second half
At 46-52 mins you can see Balmforth just slow in the D line and the game has already been on 6-12 mins!!
He struggles fitness wise - watch him in that first 15 mins of the second half
Watch how he moves.
Surely someone can point this out to him !!! What are the coaches doing ?
He weighs 10kg more than Harry Grant and looks every 10kg of that weight.
I’ve nothing against Denive - if I was his coach I’d get 6kg off his weight within 6 weeks through diet and the rowing machine etc
most folks on this forum know how an athlete can lose body fat.
I can’t wait to see him and Abdull when fully fit with just 10-12% body fat
That’s when it gets exciting and I just really really hope JC and the team can improve our fitness levels by 50% because we need that

| Quote: bonaire "It also makes sense to the future balance of the team if Abdul is coming to look for a running half.
Abdul with Trueman doesnt work for me
Abdul with a running half like Lam would work a lot better, plus we should see more tries from the halfbacks.
Whether Lam comes or not the club need to find a running half
Cant see the club actively trying to sign Lam unless Trueman has already signed for Wakefield'"
To be fair I think that’s been the plan all along especially since they signed Abdull. Sailor was the main target and then we saw an opportunity with Lam and like I said I’m sure they went for Sullivan too. All fit that bill as that type of player a bit of zip and ability to run the ball. It’s gutting that we’ve missed out on all 3 but I’m sure an obviously decent amount of salary cap and quota space has been set aside for a ball running halfback that we’ve missed since Kelly.

Iiit was said a while ago it would take time to get to his best form. That seems to be how it’s panning out. You don’t understand the impact of his 2 injuries plus any other knocks he gets and walking in to a crap team. He is now showing why we should keep him. Not sure what you want from him. Unaware of Truemans desire to go west. I hope he doesn’t

Given the number of appearances he's made in last two years and how many of those were brilliant performances, do you genuinely think Trueman should be one of the three highest paid players at the club?

| Got to hand it to Richie, he's come in, made some changes, still making changes and made some big calls.
He seems to be building a stronger squad for next year, strength in depth also, which is good. Looks to be getting better value for the money we are paying.
Top to bottom, he has covered covered every inch of this club since arriving, talk about baptism of fire job.
Now, the biggest job from here on out (for me) is to get bums back on seats.
Looking at how empty the stands are, it's heartbreaking how far we have fallen. It doesn't seem that long ago, south and east stand was full, from corner to 'chavs corner' and the only thing that added to the atmosphere was how many fans the away team brought.
We need to get an identity, style of play, something.
We never seem to be called the airlie birds anymore or the black and whites, yet every other club seem to have a nickname they're referred to. Just another way to show how far we have fallen, almost forgotten about.
Dream world, ideal world, fantasy world,.call it what you want, but wouldn't it be incredible if the the new backer/owner spent some money on our.own little stadium, 15k would do. Seating and standing, bringing in our own revenue on game days etc a complete new look, new identity, new Hull FC.

He does have mitigation for his lack of performances/ so start though. The question is do the club think over the next 6-8 years can he lead our side. For me, you can see the talent is definitely there and he has a good attitude. It’s just a lot of money on a player with injury problems.
However, his injuries aren’t recurring so I’d roll the Dice with the final year of his contract and let him have the chance to rip it up after a preseason.
25 isn’t even his peak and both seasons we’ve looked a lot better with him in side without him even been fit

If his trajectory continues and he is brilliant with the youth then yes. What are the criteria for being in that top 3? That maybe a good debate?

The people who attend seem to have money. They pay entrance fee and buy expensive beer and food when there. So cost is an issue for non attenders? That said considering the dross served up the crowds have been ok and I see a lot of younger folk going who presumably aren’t loaded. So there is an appetite. Better performances, better half time entertainment, looking at the days and times of games and some billboards advertising matches would help, along with creative ticket packages. I think allowing characters in the game to flourish is important even allowing skirmishes on the field without yellow and red cards would enhance what is already a great product. On the flip side cut out injury feigning etc to get penalties. For me the attraction of the game is the athleticism, toughness, skill and honesty of the participants. Long May this continue

It's like when we Adam Dykes back in 2008 or Matty head in 2006, both top half backs, but their injury problems meant that they weren't good value for money as you need your halves playing regularly. Id like Trueman to be a success at the club, but based on the last two years we haven't had good value from him, next season is a real make or break season for the club with new signings, new head coach, potential new investor, having a half out for a lot of the season could derail the new dawn quite quickly
