I don't even expect him to walk out on his existing contract.
I'd be very happy if we got him, I just don't think we will. Doing a good job with Salford and I can imagine he'd like to keep that going and see where he can get with them.
More than happy to be proved wrong.

How can he coach Salford but be involved with recruitment for us.'"
I guess the same way that many Coaches are when they leave a club before the end of their contracts, if they remain in place. If he does agree to come to Hull next season that then leaves Salford with a decision to make, do they keep him on to see out the season or relieve him of his post. Either way whilst he'll be professional and continue coaching Salford
its unlikely that he'll have any further input in to signings/recruitment plans for Salford with immediate effect.
You would imagine that if Rowley has indeed been approached and agrees to join us at the end of this season then Salford will likely want to have some form of compensation arrangement to then let him go asap.

Agree I don't think Rowley would walk out mid season even if he agreed to take on the Head Coach role with us, but that maybe a decision that is made for him if he does indeed ask Salford if he can leave at the end of the season.
I think the issue for Salford is the financial position and the fire sales they seem to have to do every season to survive. Think that always going to be an issue for Salford in terms of Coaches.
It could well be the pull of having the opportunity to go to a club that's having some serious investment that enough or simply the challenge to turn around a very sick dog or both.
I would say that was the main reason for Watson heading the Huddersfield as he couldn't achieve anything more at Salford without investment to build.

Everything has become very public in the last few days, likely driven by Hull to promote some positivity. The knock on effect could go either way. Rowley might not like that this is in the press already but if he accepts, Salford will probably want to move on as a club immediately to placate their own fans which may see Rowley at Hull before the end of the season.

Seem to have made the right decision though with Burgess
Think they will win the C/C this season

| Right at the risk of jumping the gun slightly... If/When Rowley comes, the typical next step is they bring a couple of players they trust with them so with that being said who at The Devils would we want him to bring along with him? Sneyd probably out of question as he moved to be closer to his hometown and family etc. I'd have Lafai for x factor and strength out of backfield and I'd take Partington for aggression in the pack and that bit of nastiness we need

Don't think that's a fair comparison when you look at the level of financial backing both coaches have had

I'm just impatient
Would be similar to Powell who was announced as Warrington Coach for 2022 in the previous April but stayed on at Cas for the remainder of 2021.

Radford massively underachieved with the resources he had available at Hull, I'd take Rowley over him any day of the week. We should have won the league leaders in 2016 and got to a grand final in 2016 or 17, there were years of dire performances under radders and cas are still suffering from his time there.

Whilst I quite like Partington we are trying to improve our discipline. Can’t see him helping on that front?

He then broke the FC hoodoo, by winning at Wembley and backed it up the following year. He's then been part of the coaching team that took Samoa to the World Cup final.
The guy is one of the best in the business.
