I suppose it mainly depends on whether Pearson has any plans to do that or if he would prefer to get another job back in football. On the other hand, the 'rumours' could be complete bum gravy and Gentle may like working with him and having someone else deal with player contracts, etc. rather than having to do it himself.

| Quote: east hull FC fan "What's his role within the club? As I said to you earlier Tom, I doubt this is as bad as is being made out and O'Meley needs to keep his mouth shut, and advise his wife to do the same. But what does Bomber bring that Gentle and Pearson (now he's unemployed) can't do? Only thing I can think of is British contacts, maybe?'"
I think he acts as a well informed adviser to Pearson, who has minimal experience of dealing with professional RL, and also can give Gentle valuable information of the ins and outs of the SL. On top of that are his contacts, his positive representation of the club and respect in both SuperLeague and NRL.
Unless he is actually causing upset at the club which has negative effects for the players or coaching staff, I don't understand all the flack he's getting.

He's a very 'public' advisor. If that's all he was then I don't think you could argue with it. But he's obviously a lot more involved than that, and as long as it isn't causing friction (and no one knows for sure if it is or isn't) then I'm fine with that too.
Still don't like directors of Rugby though, or positions of that nature.

| I don't believe all the Bomber rumours, it seems to me that Ogre and his missus have been slagging the club off for a while, bitterness I guess.
That said I always thought Bomber had a limited shelf life and I could easily see him going at the end of the season.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him go at the end of this season, maybe the next, but I think he would be happy with that too. He's come in as an advisor and a known 'face' for the club to have in such a big turn around.

This, on both points.
Ogre was close to the old board and Agar in particular. Seems to me he's stirring things deliberately. Disappointing behaviour to say the least.
Bomber was signed on for a reason, and now circumstances have changed. If AP has the time and inclination to take on the day-to-day stuff then it wouldn't surprise me to see him step aside.

| According to an item in the Sydney press today Jamie Soward is considering an offer of a 3 year deal with Wigan.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

If I was in AP's position running ther club then yes. We need a quality halfback to take us forward and Chase is exactly that. Yes he has some faults but so do most players.

| Chase would be fantastic at Hull ! Just having a stand off that doesn't play in slow motion would be a start though.
