| Quote: Standee "you do know how low bank interest rates are, don't you?
Very low, but tens of thousands of pounds will generate more interest or pay off more debts (saving interest) than nothing!!
the reserved seats have a better position than the unreserved
Correct, but VERY marginal... We aren't exactly talking Wembley stadium here are we??
the Direct Debit scheme costs money to administer, 10% of the value is cheap, and you're getting it for less than that.
I know, but you must still factor this into my season pass outlay. If i pay 'walk up' prices i'm getting 8 months interest free am i not??
You honestly think it will be less than £20 walk up?
I'm not sure but no.. Judging by this i would say £21/£22. In which case the pass becomes more worth it. If it's £18/£19, it's not. IMO
and as for the comment about remembering your pass, that is just laughable.
Don't take things so literal. I'm saying, if i've got to carry a £200 item in my pocket with me to every game for 1/2 game saving i'll save that risk and pay on the gate. Passes can get lost you know and then i'm going to end up paying twice as much'"

| Quote: Willa "Thought so.
Though I cannot give examples of going that extra mile to get to games (I only live in Hedon) I have only missed a handfull of home games in the last 10 years. Last season was the first season I bought a pass but I wouldn't say I was more commited than the previous 9. In fact the only reason I bought a pass was because I found the walk up price was becoming just too expensive.'"
my late Aunt (god rest her soul) was an FC fan for over 60 years, for the last years of her life she was neither well enough physically, or well off enough financially, to attend FC games, she arranged her Sunday (and latterly, other days/nights of the week), around listening to FC on the wireless (and I will call it that, because she did), she was 100 times the fan that I could ever be, because she gave up just about every last penny she had spare, be it the lottery, black and whites, IAKOW and even in her later days HISA, that is why I get angry when people (especially that idiot ICM) question people's dedication to the club, buying a season pass is actually the easy bit!
Ap is doing some long overdue things, some people seem to think he has the riches of the Sultan of Brunei to spend, and that he can cast the salary cap aside, he can't, we're better placed than we have been for years to progress in the game, yet some seem unwilling to even give him the smallest of chances.

Maybe Pearson would rather wait for £20 a game rather than get a commitment of £15 a game.

Yes Karen, you paid VAT at 17.5% the VAT then went up but the prices stayed the same but 20% VAT was charged. What i'm saying is the club knew the VAT was going up and worked the 'losses' into their prices. They didn't suddenly go up 2.5% did they? Hence why they never came down when the VAT dropped to 15%. As on alot of receipts/prices it says "Prices include VAT charged at the current rate"

Unless there's some way of getting a higher priced ticket than you should then I don't see how it can be abused.

Maybe, but there are obvious risks attached to this.

It's not directly related to the voucher exchange scheme.

This time I've read it differently (this can be read more than one way).
There is a balance, you don't want 80% of your total revenue from tickets to be massively discounted
It would be better if we had 7-8000 season ticket holders but because match day prices were lower average attendance of 14000+

I don't think it's as risky as charging £25 and no-one except pass holders and hard core turning up.

I appreciate that, it was quite difficult to write any other way to be honest.
Yes, it is a difficult situation. But initially we have lost approximately £100k by making 2/3 of the East Stand Unreserved and discounting it so heavily. There has always been £10 between reserved/unreserved but now it's like 'losing' and extra 1+ game..

Well it is, as if things aren't going well on the pitch then people won't go and you have ZERO income. 10k passholder banks over £2m.
