I am starting to think that rule is taking notes from the ambulance chaser over at the dobbins. It seems to be you have to be old or crocked to get a contract here.'"

Dowes - Lauaki - King
Berrigan - Houghton
Cusack - O'Meley - Radford
Fitzgibbon - Burnett
Tickle - Manu
Washbrook
I would sign up Whiting and Maloney.
Enough cover their for now, need to sign a Stand Off and Broughton then that should be 2010 squad sorted for me.'"
Would have Moa instead of Kingy

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

if we cant sign a centre that would do for me but i would spend pre season coaching yeaman and briscoe the art of putting their winger away.

| I realised that when I said yesterday that I was underwhelmed by this that I was going to take a lot of stick, but I dont see where all this talk of "world class prop" is coming from. He played for Australia in 2004 (5 years ago) and has been terrible for two years. When the Kite rumours have been doing the rounds, who is currently world class, I am underwhelmed by this signing.
I know that I will be accused of being negative, but I think its funny how now that we have signed him, he is being described as a world class Australian international. You cant just disregard the last two years because he is going to be in the black and white next season, he hasnt been getting picked for the worst tean in the NRL.
Having said all that, I really hope that I am wrong and will happily accept "I told you so" if he tears it up here, like he has done in the past.

Your entitled to your opinion Archie, i,ve watched quite a bit of NRL over the last few seasons and seen him a few times and have said 'i'd love to see him here' as i did with Crocker, so i'm prepared to give him a chance, hope he gets himself fully fit and revitalised again and we see the best of him, cos at his best he'll do for me.

He played for Australia up to 2006 and in the City v Country match a couple of months ago.
Whilst he may not be "world class" (and no such Aussie would come here anyway) he certainly isn't "terrible".

At his best, I entirely agree with you. I was in Sydney for the 2004 NRL GF and at that time he was awesome, but like I have said, you cant discount the last 2 years.

I apologise foor getting my facts wrong there, it was off the top of my head
Berro was still world class when he signed for us.
His form of the last couple of seasons has been terrible, if he can recapture his form prior to that, then excellent. I really hope I am proved wrong!!

WHY DON'T THE DOBBINS PLAY IN GREEN SHIRT, GREEN SHORTS AND GREEN SOCKS IN ORDER TO EXPRESS THEIR INFINITE ENVY OF EVERYTHING BLACK AND WHITE??:icons42da_files/5424-2890lipst1ck_d0rk-msnicons.jpg |

| I really don't get this negativity about his signing. IMO he is nothing short of a fantastic signing. He is everything in a prop forward that we don't currently have, he is big, hard, aggressive and proven at the very highest level and at 28 yrs old he is in his prime as a prop forward.
So he has a knee problem ?? How many players play in the NRL or SL for 10 years without having a knee, shoulder or wrist reconstruction at some point ?? Berrigan ?? Crocker ?? These operations are common place and most of the time they prove to be a successs and prolong the career for a number of years.
Some are saying that he has had a couple of lean years, well that's fair enough but he is playing in NRL's worst team currently for a coach that he clearly and publicly doesn't get on with. A move to England with us, IMO, is just what he needs to get back to his best and I am really looking forward to seeing him in a black and white shirt.
Lauaki, O'Meley, Fitzgibbon, Moa and Manu in the same pack looks very very good to me !!!!

I'm often as negative as anyone on here and rightly so but when compared to our recruitment of the last three or four seasons, our current sigings, for me, are light years ahead.
I have complained a hell of a lot about some of our abysmal recruitment and retention but when we are signing a player of O'Meley's ability, I just cannot see anything positives !!
He is exactly what we need !! AN ANIMAL !!!

5707.jpg NEED A SPARKY........CHEAP RATES!!!! Call 07970611193:5707.jpg |
|
| We could do with another 'maverick' player like Blacklock......A player that you just can't coach to a certain style cos he'll only play 'his way', which differs from week to week. Its hard for the opposition to do their homework on a player like that. I hope O'Meley has a rebelious nature (not on the negative side...Drink etc), and can't be turned into 'just another forward'!
Nathan Blacklock for me, was probably the most infuriating yet exciting player this club has had for years.......Deano Treister comes a close second!
