| Not seen the game, bur Hoys stats look good, but his effort on Drinkwater was poor. Rovers fans seem to have a weird obsession with him. Think he will come good, particularly if the pack starts to play.
Their first 4 trys, 2 of them were from really good kicks which are hard to stop, a poor miss from Lovodua and a drop ball.

| We’re going to have to ride this out with the players we have, as just dropping young players into a struggling team will just do more harm than good.
This isn’t Smiths first rodeo, and if anyone thinks that he is calm and passive behind the scenes then they’re deluded.
Also our great pack and team of 2016 didn’t have a great start. They had to lock the coach out of the dressing room, and come from 20 points down in a derby to kick start that particular season.
Difference is then we had leaders on the field. Now there aren’t any.
This must be Smiths most difficult job yet?

| Wait? You've got 20 players off contract?
Did Pearson not see warrington last year with 15 off contract?

Rovers fans will constantly bring up his comment pre season about striving for top 4 or to win the league, and make fun of it.
I don't understand why. Every single team in the league, Wakefield included, are trying to finish top 4.
We've been absolute awful. Doesn't mean we wasn't ever trying to get top 4.

Most games he's been our top carrier, metre maker, tackle buster pretty much every game hes played in.
He was very good in the Cas and Leeds games. Even the Saints game.'"
Disgusted with some of the abuse aimed at Hoy.
As you say, he was very good against Cas and Leeds and his stats speak for themselves.
People seem to forget that these guys are human beings and some of the vile things that have been said are completely out of order.
He's 23 who has moved to the other side of the world and i don't think people realise what a big change it is for these people.

I think it includes a handful of kids from the extensive fringes of their squad. But they do have a lot of experienced, more recognisable players OOC as well.

According to the HDM didn’t Tex say something along the lines of “ Rovers wouldn’t win a Derby whilst he was at FC”. Which if he did say that it was a very silly thing to say about any club.

Can't see where the next win is coming from to be honest.
Think we need some signings to come in ASAP. Something needs to change. If Wakey get an upturn in form we're stuffed'"
I completely agree, and while I'll be there Good Friday, it could be our bleakest day since the 42-6 Cooke inspired Rovers hammering of us. We just look half hearted, hardly fit and with no playbook. I know that it is hard to be up for a job knowing you are getting fired but no sportsman I have ever known has ever not played for their own pride. This team are not top six material, we all knew that and that it would be a hard year, but I never imagined it would be this bad. I just hope they can have an honest review and own their pathetic displays with a view to actually trying against Rovers. That is all we have asked of them and what they owe themselves and the fans.

I had hoped we'd have kept Sao and Satae, both have been our best forwards for the last two seasons, but Ligi isn't showing anything and big Chris has been a shadow of what he was , even when we were getting hammered, he was a standout. Motu Tony has offered to help the club and I seriously hope we take him up on that offer, he signed some great players for us when he was the Football Manager and he will know some young guns that would jump at a chance to showcase their skill in SL.I thought Balmforth would have been given a shot, Danny Houghton is clearly a year too old and I hope we have Mitch on the wing against Rovers , as McIntosh needs taking out of the pressure for a while to help him regain his confidence, poor kid looks lost some times and it cannot be good for him, mentally, to be always called out.If Wynne has sorted his issues out, I'd keep him for a year but of the rest, Andre Savelio and Dwyer would be the only ones worth a punt, in my opinion.

Mcintosh hasn't been selected for the past 3 games. He's played for the reserves last couple of outings. That's his level imo.

| +1 on the criticism Hoy is getting. Turnstile Tex is doing just fine, and long may it continue. Gutted that he’s out next week, I suspect tactical after seeing abdulls kicks Friday night.
