Some woman on her mobile phone while driving, ran into the back of me and a couple of friends who were also in our stationary car at the time when travelling home from work. She was only doing around 20 to 25 mph at the time but it was enough to cause injury to all three of us. I got off fairly lightly considering, but my mate who was in the rear seat when it happened, was off work for several weeks with a serious neck injury. When will some people learn that you can't be on your mobile whist driving.'"

It would appear so wouldn't it. I noticed a crash barrier down Holdernes road today had practically been obliterated. It's usually down to a combination of factors including trafic congestion, lack of awareness and poor judgment by the drivers. Plus just pure bad driving by some. I see some and think to myself, how the hell did they manage to pass their driving test? |

Grade reduced from C to B.
The actual description of the offence ("a defending player makes contact makes contact with an opponent after the ball has been released by an opponent in a vulnerable position which causes excessive flexion to the head, neck or spinal column.") can be be graded from A to D, so the penalty seems to involve a lot of guesswork.

RFL do need to cut out the cheap shots which Satae did but let's hope they are consistent which has always been the problem.

In case anyone was wondering what I was on about, the charge says he =#FF0000actually caused excessive flexion to the head, neck or spinal column.
How does the disciplinary panel know that happened? By video, a statement from the player, or maybe a medical report?
If the charge had said "could cause", then there would be no issue.  |

Actually, the two of us in the front didn't put in a claim, but the guy sat in the back did and rightly so. He suffered an injury that was worse than just whiplash. His injury was quite serious, something to do with two vertebrae in his spine which required an operation to correct. He lost the feeling in one arm for several weeks and was off work for quite a while afterwards. |

How did Satae get 3 games (2 on appeal) and Kelly get two games when Bodene Thomson doesn’t get anything other than SOS for his deliberate shoulder charge with direct contact with the head???
