| Good run out.
I was impressed with Ligi Sao . Looks very vocal.
Also Cator went well.

Good to hear. Bit of a necessary evil, pre-season games. I'm not bothered about the result or the lack of scintillating rugby league. Just let them blow away some cobwebs, get some competitive game time and get through unscathed.

Plenty of positives on social media for Cator and Sao in particular, and the defensive organisation of the youngsters in the second half. Didn't go today but would love it if Manu Ma'u made his debut at the Fox's Biscuits Stadium next week

| Mose Masoe stretchered off after 15 minutes (was assessed for 10 minutes on the pitch) and is currently in hospital with a potentially bad neck injury.
Hope he's ok.

| Still quite a few to come in from today's squad:
Connor
Swift
Houghton
Taylor
Bowden
Jones
Ma'u
Ellis
Was Johnstone injured? Assume Bienek still has a dead leg.

| For me it was a great run out and a massive tackling stint from the younger players in that second half. What struck me the most was just how good Albert Kelly looks now he is fully fit, lean and mean again. I wish he wouldn't mix it that much defensively with the oppositions big forwards though we need to wrap him in cotton wool and try and keep him clear of injury. But, every time he got the ball the whole game seemed to go up a gear and things looked to be happening all around him. Sao Satae and Cator looked good too and although still pretty rusty Mahe had a big presence as always on the field. With so many still missing it was .....Encouraging!!

Fascinating to see how Connor slots in. Thought Kelly was very good last week too. Can't not be picked for me.

Would like to see Jake at right centre with Ratu but i think he will be on the bench
There will be several players who wont be too happy about playing reserve football.
If we can keep Albo fit i think he will be sensational this season running off some of our new forwards

| My spy at the game thought that Jack Brown was the pick of the Hull pack. I know he has been handed the Reserve team captaincy which maybe means Radders doesn't expect to call on him often but I reckon a big performance vat Batley next week could earn him a spot against Leeds.
Satae very good too I'm told.

Brown's debut against Catalans last year was as good as I have seen from a Hull prop. He will have pushed ahead of the likes of Masi and Fash very soon, if he's not there already.

Hope so, I like Fash, he seems a decent guy, but he just doesn't have that extra grunt, he will run his blood to water but sometimes that isn't enough.
