| Quote Wilde 3="Wilde 3"Didn't think we played that well, not very fluent with the ball but got to be happy with the win. Thought they made good metres with the ball but had no creativity in the halves'"
2 very important points and a confidence boost
We had a good initial 15 minutes but Catalan made easy yards which teams are now doing against us.
Taylor had his best game for a while, Carlos again showed what a centre should be doing on the field.
Just hope Dean Hadley injury is not too bad.Knee injury.
Think we need another established front row even when Paea is fit.
Understand the clubs stance but wish we hadnt offloaded Watts
Jordan Lane continues to impress. Can see Turgut now going out on loan

| Far from perfect with some tries bombed but a comfortable win in the end.
Carlos was excellent tonight, some great centre play and good to see Kelly back and looking good.

| Solid performance against a poor side, we broke the line numerous times and once we calmed down and stopped trying to score every play we scored some goo try's.
I thought Taylor and Mini led from the front, some real class from Kelly and Carlos. Something to build on.

Good summary. Taylor’s been excellent since returning from his operation IMO, great to have Kelly back and silky from Carlos for Talanoa’s try. Radford sounds confident of Houghton and Paea being back for the derby

| Some good bits, some not so good. We made them look much better than they are at times and we scored some soft tries but also some well worked ones. We're too soft defensively IMO and without watts we're a big forward down. Still a long way from a top 4 side IMO

| solid win, 2 points in the bag, having Houghton and paea back will give us a big lift, in taylor Bowden green masi and paea where not short of size, but sometimes green and Bowden have a good game then 2 or 3 average games, take into account in bureta binman and griffin we have some big units in the backs, hopefully we can kick on and start to get a few wins under our belt

| Could have been in trouble against a better side, but it's a building block and a much needed win (bit like when we beat Wakey a couple of years ago).
Kelly will get better with game time (he seemed to appreciate the songs), and Houghton will improve our tempo which has looked sluggish. Definitely think we need proper cover for hooker now. Houghton cant play 80mins in every game without getting injured sometimes.
Do agree that we're a big forward down with Watts not there, especially when our go forward has been a key part of our game.
Still seem to have a number of players not firing on all cylinders.
Carlos was class though and Griffin is better used in the second row than centre.

Shame because i thought he may have played tonight'"
Quarters were awesome tonight. Especially Griffin and Tui. But it probably doesn't fit with your agenda.

Griffin Awesome? what game were you watching.Yes he scored two simple tries but made two handling errors. Bombed a try when he dropped the ball.
Keep saying he is not a good centre but given his size and whilst we are short of numbers he can do a job coming off the bench like he did tonight in the second row.
Its not just my agenda, there are now several more on this forum who are of the same opinion.
Poor signing. Its a pity he is on a three year deal as we could have got rid at the end of the season.

9 tackle busts
4 clean breaks
141 metres
11.75m average gain
22 tackles
2 tries
He did make a couple of errors as you say but Griffin certainly brought something to the table last night.

You have had in for Griffin from the start, a bit like Yeaman you won't change your mind no matter how well he plays, he certainly isn't a poor signing, I think he is a good squad player, personally I would have him in the strongest 17, but very good player to fill in. You need to watch the try's again, he run a great line for his second try.
Last night he had a funny game, scored two try's, made a number of breaks, but bombed 2/3 try's, a real rocks and diamonds performance

| It was a bit like the hudds game where we won at a canter against a poor team by only really playing well for 20 minutes or so. Not good enough against the better teams as we've seen. We desperately need houghton, manu and paea back and I hope hadley isn't too badly injured. I'm hoping the fact he walked off means they weren't too worried
