Gentle's first season was clearly better than Radford's first, however their respective second seasons weren't too dis-similar. Gentle had the advantage of playing Bradford and London (although both took points off us). A good April/May masked a mediocre season.
Both could do a job as an assistant but neither up to the job as a head coach. |

and I agree completely with that. Gentle's team had quite a few blow-outs and lost heavily at times, but won some more games, whereas under Radford we've tended to have close losses.
as for MrsB's comparison question, yes we can compare to the Agar era, we finished 8th in his last season too. 4 years of Pearson's ownership, 4 years of expensive signings, player payoffs, 2 coaches, much hype...and we're still 8th!  |
