Ellis is going to be a huge miss and not just his physicality. Radford now more than ever needs to get his interchange of the forwards right and avoid leaving us less strong, Ellis is pretty much an extra prop for us and green/Bowden/Thompson need to dig deep and try fill the void.
I don't have many worries about Abdul but is he carrying more timber than last year/start of this? If he grasps this chance and proves his worth does that give Radford a dilemma for next season re the 6 position?
