In many ways I feel a sense of detachment these days anyway. I've lived down here for 11 years now and being 300 miles away is a very convenient excuse. Hull FC has been a major part of my life for the last 55 years but last year I binned off Sky because the few maqtches that did feature Hull weren't very enjoyable anyway. I stopped listening to match commentaries on internet radio and I'm now at the point where I hardly even visit these boards much at all.

Thanks to Adam Pearson, he's managed to instill in this lifelong fan, ex-shareholder and ex-employee of the club, a sense of ambivalence I never knew I had.

Be honest dont tell me you didnt love it when rovers were struggling in the championship,if I was a hull fan in that era I would have loved it,in saying that its great to have the only real derby back.

to be honest des no I didn't, I always want the 2 hull clubs in sl, yes when there are I wanna smash rovers up every match and for them to lose, but still see them survive in sl,

and your right ,its the only true derby, long may it continue

Truthfully it was good to have the Derby back as much as it hurts to lose , but hand on heart when you were in the championship I didn't give hull kr a second thought

It would give me the greatest pleasure to see Rovers slide down the leagues and disappear into oblivion.

I know a lot who would agree, but for me I love the rivalry and the pleasure of victory, mind you wouldn't miss the losses lol eh des

come on des just because we don't all want to see rovers sent to oblivion doesn't mean where not being honest,and just as you where on my xmas card list

Its true nobody likes losing,but when rovers are playing most hull fans would be cheering for the opponents,the same most rovers fans would be cheering for the opposition when hull are playing.Iam not saying whats right or wrong,its just how it is. Derby losses are devastating but it happens and we hopefully all live to fight another day.
