Be over the age of 19, and never played rugby league at any level - then you can count yourself in the "new player pool"

Players in the new player pool are exempt from the salary cap for the first year, 50% of their salary counts on the cap in their second year.

Teams are allowed 2 players in the player pool at a time.

What's complicated?

(Biggs clearly qualifies in this rule, unless he's played rl that I don't know about - Sa doesn't qualify for this rule - but given he's currently in Union (I gather from the posts in this thread) there is a process in place for hull to apply for special dispensation of the new player pool rule (but given the doctor failed with everyone I doubt it'd get through)

Most importantly, how much will they charge for his name on shirts? If it's a tenner for Paleaaesina, any more than two quid is daylight robbery and should be complained about vigorously at the next fans forum.

salford looking at benji marshall apparently. they reckon he wont count on the cap either as he is coming from union (if he comes and its a long shot)

He was excellent the first season at Catalans but flattered to deceive after that - he has it all potentially so maybe Radford can get the best out of him ?

after people slated Thompson, Feka, Talanoa and Colbon before they even put on the FC shirt, I think we should trust what radders in his signings

I've asked this before but didn't get an explanation from anyone (not you specifically), why is Thompson being lauded as a shrewd signing by Radford? He was announced well before Radford and Tony, still under the Gentle and McRae tenure, and rumoured even longer before that.

And Colbon is exactly what anyone sensible expected, bang average. Does a job to cover injuries, but we should be looking to replace him as soon as we can.

The other 2, fair enough, they've been gambles that have paid off well.

Colbon is bang average & Tuson was a pointless signing. given we'd already signed Thompson

Thompson was a pg signing correct, my mistake.

Colbon average correct also, does a job which is what you need at the moment with Crookes and Lineham out.

Paea has been top draw imo, and still think better to come from the guy.

I think we will look to replace Colbon AND Crookes for next season, and rightly so. Bin Man ive been impressed with, growing from game to game, long time away from the game etc and think he could be a future legend.

Tuson hasn't really shown up yet, but give the lad a chance, he didn't have much of a pre-season if I remember, so hasn't had that as a benefit like others.
