what is it they say about not changing a winning side?

only two changes i would make would be paea and carvell for pitts and whiting, if radford isn't going to play whiting until the 60th minute mark, it seems a waste of a bench spot imo

Whiting came on at the right time as dad's army was out on feet and whiting pushed through the line and can cover all positions

not disagreeing, but thursday will be a completely different game, we will need more muscle up front

Chase played well against Cas but did nothing against us so he'll probably have a blinder on Thursday.

Was only his 3rd game with his new team who didn't exactly help him. Rangi to a degree will turn up every game. Fact that every season he's been the top or very near try assists, off loads, tackle busts and breaks means if his forwards do anything of note and gets some help via other half and full back it'll turn sour for us awful quick if we don't maintain our standards of Friday

Thought Chase overdid the "flat pass", trying to suck us in, pretty sure he'll go for the quick spread pass on Thursday, hoping we'll still be defending the flat "Flat Pass" if that makes sense.

I'm not just basing my verdict on his three games for Salford. I'm basing it on his time at Cas and games for England. When he's good he's very good there's no denying that. But then you get games like Friday night were he didn't do a lot and had very little impact. Yet some of those stats you mention will have gone up despite this.

As someone else has pointed out, Castleford are looking a lot better without him.

Leave HB togehter we need continuaty there and I'd leave Whiting out been poor for me and Thompson playing better.

If it's a straight choice between Thompson or Whiting missing out then I agree. Thompson has really impressed me since joining.

Cas are better as the coach has had an off season, every player knows they had to take up some of the slack, Huby back and fit, signed lynch players like Shenton back to their best. Pretty sure if rangi was there Powell would be getting even more from his team.
Chase stats are constantly well beyond anyone else's. And when his team help him and give him options he's nearly un playable. We need to be good as Friday to stop that from happening. If I was involved with Salford a pre season goal would of been the cup and a good run.
