Radford is our coach. He was responsible for the defence which, up until the last 2 weeks, was one of the best in the comp.

We have massively underperformed in games against Widnes, Rovers (twice!), Salford, Wakefield and London. All below us.

THAT alone makes him culpable. and the fact he starts every sentence with, "Look..."

Ah I wondered how long it would take for people to start claiming any of the positive aspects are the responsibility of other people.

Nobody is claiming Gentle isn't responsible but anyone suggesting he gets replaced by Radford needs to give there head a bang.

How about a couple of yrs down the line or is Radford a complete no go due to the fact you dont like him.

I dont even know him so why would I not like him? If were going to get rid of Gentle he needs replacing by an experienced proven good quality coach which Radford currently isn't.

Lets say Radford is in charge of our defence & we let him take over, who is going to improve our attack? We'll still only be a good defensive side.

Slagged him off enough when he was a player....thats why i said a couple of yrs down the line.

Nobody can say what kind of coach Radford might develop into, but there seems little point replacing an 'untried assistant' with someone with even less experience. That would be repeating the Sharp to Agar transition with the risk of getting the same result.

Not suggesting you want Radford in BTW - just addressing the general point.

Hence the 2/3 yrs down the line and with a stronger youth set up and the much vaunted youngsters ready for action.Just a scenario mind.

Certainly not something I'd rule out. He's had a ton of experience and with a decent length apprenticeship could develop into a good head coach.

Same for me, im not a big fan of head coaches who have played with a large majority of a current squad.

I know Lee's not the type to stand for and crap but theres still the mates element.

Paul Anderson, Shaun Wane, Brian McDermott even Brian Noble, they all did a long coaching apprenticeship before they got to were they are now and most had solid club foundations already built by the time they took up there positions. We're still digging the footings

So criticism of a players performance means you dont like them? You must hate half the squad. I have no opinion of Radford as a person so if he had a track record as a good coach I'd Welcome him.

Just 4.....ah but how does he get a good track record unless he makes the step up.
