I do think our backs would be shining a LOT more if our forwards were busting through tackles and getting some off loads away.

bit harsh to say no effort if they showed no effort we would have been beat in our last two games by more than 1 or 2 pts. We need to raise our game no doubt abour that as do us as fans and get behind the team when they need us ... ANY KIND OF WEATHER

The example Cooke uses in his article is a good one and shows an alarming lack of application from certain players in that particular situation. But in general I would say that the effort is there - however it's quality of the basic skills of passing and tackling that have been the biggest factor in our recent struggles. There is no excuse for it at this stage of the season and it's time every player in the squad upped their quality level more than their effort level.

I do agree with the part about Kirmond chasing back but didn't Green do exactly the same thing against Cas. Not seen anybody mention that yet, is he the only one showing any effort?

The "Any Kind Of Weather" comment is just , I support Hull FC, I wouldn't be going to Perpignan next weekend for 36 hours if I didn't, but it doesn't mean I can't say what I see, and in the last three games we've looked incredibly poor, devoid of ideas and guilty of a distinct lack of effort and application.
The fans do not need to "raise our game", the team need to make good on their constant promises. |

Spot on Standee. We're not bad supporters for criticising. To use a cliche "If they can't walk the walk, don't talk the talk".
However bad they've been playing, we'll all still be there in numbers, supporting them all the way. |

I don't go to every game, but I support the team 100%, as you say, it's down to them to walk the walk.
O'Meley,Lynch,Galea,Briscoe,Yeaman and a fair few others are stealing a wage this season. |
