Hull's opening fixtures were your toughest of the season, the next 7 look much less daunting and it could easily be 5 wins rather than 5 points.
Your defence, discipline and low error count were very good for most of the games vs Leeds, wire and hudds - unfortunately from your pov, so were their's and they just had a slightly better kicking game and a bit more cutting edge. But they are potential grand finalists. Weaker teams will give you more chances and fewer problems, certainly if they try to take you on down the middle.

You're getting confused. Mike Smith said Rovers would be top 4 last year. Has AP said we'll finish 4th or better this year?

Barring the Widnes game, we are probably where we expected to be right now in terms of results. Its the next 5 games that will determine how our season is going to go imo, we need to take one game at a time though starting with London which is a must win by all accounts. After seeing their defensive efforts against Rovers last week, I think its fair to say a defeat there would all but destroy our season. Time for the lads to stand up and be counted.

Before the season started I'd have expected us to beat Huddersfield, seeing that we thrashed them in the play-offs last year.

Although we cannot take any team for granted, the next 6 SL games are very winnable. If we cannot ‘expect’ to win these games, then it is season over.

I am not a gambling man, but if I had to put money on it, I would consider 12 points from the next 6 SL games to be the safest bet.

Well if we can't score at least 30 points against the KR defence we should give up!!

We've had a tough start for sure and probably would have liked 3 more points - win that game at Saints and beat Widnes which was a debacle. I think we're going in the right direction personally but obviously need a top quality scrum half to make the top 4 step up. As someone else said the players now need to front up and win the next few games - we've played some good sides at the start and we're some way off the standard in attack but hopefully as the weather improves we might start playing a bit more freely with the ball. Need 3 from the next 4 minimum to give ourselves a chance in the second half of the season.
