Saw enough in your game against wire to suggest that top 8 should be easily do-able. Hard to imagine you playing much worse than yesterday but there's the other side of the coin to consider: how good can you be when you turn in your best performance? Better to get the bad ones out of the way early perhaps.

Still achievable, but if you finish 7th or 8th then you may as well not bother and start the winter holidays a week early. Nothing worse than limping in to the play-offs and getting a kicking.

the big difference between 2006 and now is that Sharp came in and took a side that had won a trophy the year before, and had finished 5th in the league in 2005 and 3rd in 2004 and improved both the defence and the confidence and got them back in form.

this side hasn't beaten an SL side in the cup for 5 years, and hasn't consistently been at the races in Super League since we finished 4th in 2007...its not as though we are just going through a rough patch and will re-discover old glories, some of the these players have never played consistently well.

of course its achievable i understand people are disgusted in last nights performance no more so than myself and we can see the problems the team has but we are at least a top 8 team top 6 i would say we just need to bang a couple of heads together we can see the passion in the team in the last few weeks when we scored at saints and warrington but i don't think one team member was confident with Seymour last night and not one of them celebrated or wanted to step up and take control Houghton is quiet as a mouse and it was a mistake taking lynch's captaincy off him they need to group together and its going to be a long season
