If AP isn't going to appoint more non executive directors (and I don't believe he will) then a D.O.R is a very sensible idea, the coach cannot be expected to manage the strategic development of the club at all levels, fair enough he controlsthe first team, but not a whole club.

I don't believe they do and we don't need one either.

What we need is a good first team coach (and good coaches for the junior levels).

I don't think there is anyone kicking around the game in the UK that I would take, anyone who comes in needs to have no history with the club at all in terms of recent coaching etc. (so, no Kear or McRae), in an ideal world we'd bring in someone like Sterling but I doubt any of this compartiots want to swap Australia for Hull on a D.O.R salary.

Who gets the sack when things go wrong - the DOR for signing the wrong players or the first team coach for not getting the best out of them?

1st team coach does 1st team and signings....No2 deals with 1st team and reserves that way we can have a smooth transition to 1st team...would like a kicking coach as well.

Can anyone name a time when DOR has worked out in rugby league as i just dont see the point? It says to me that your head coach cant do the job properly so needs help. Id hate the club to go down this route and keep Agash in the process.
