Not sure what to make of this to be honest. Three year deal for a 30 year old full back?
I think Phelps has been going well and would have been happy to see him get another year or two.
Still as a previous poster says, he'll get my support when he pulls the shirt on. Hopefully we'll get some stability in the full back role at last.

O'meleys a few years younger though.
He is a good player but like the other SL signings, Hohaia and Laffranchi, their getting longer deals.
Part of me is wondering isf it's a way to get around the cap tbh.

Well McKinnon is not confirmed yet so we'll haver to wait and see. When he was OOC a few clubs in the NRL were interested in him but none of them were interested in Phelps.
He isn't the player he used to be but is still a very classy fullback. |

Anyway Jamie Ellis, really pleased we have done this deal. It probably means Long, Obst and Horne are the halves for next season but we will have Ellis, Williams and Nicklas all coming through, about time we had some young talent in the halves.

If he is replacing Phelps paul there should still be a space on the quota if Fitz leaves. Leaving a space for a half still hopefully. |
