| I hope people do realise that the building of the North stand will be paid for in the future by us.....the Hull FC fans.
The stand will only get near its capacity when we go there.
No other club in SL will fill it.
So, lets fck em up BY NOT GOING THERE. SIMPLES.

You misunderstand. The complaint, I assume is about value, not absolute cost. £18 (?) is poor for the South stand, but you'd be happier, I assume, to pay that or even slightly more for better facilities.
Quote: yeoldfaithful "at least we rip all away fans off at the same level ( aside from the £1.00 charity charge which we all pay !! ) . the issue my friend is not a lot of hull fans want to grease the palm of that smug get who seems to want to get one over on us at every opportunity . '"
There does seem to be a lot of bitterness. Is it still the Paul Cooke thing? But you do have genuine cause for complaint about the South stand. Unfortunately, it is, for now, all we have to cope when extra away fans are expected. Rovers probably do milk/extract maximum value from it, but that's how capitalism works. Hotel prices in Cardiff will likely be higher for Magic Weekend than they would have been in its absence and so on.
Quote: yeoldfaithful "as for the sky yep, glad it will be on i can support my team without extra funding your lot . you will no doubt retort with
No need to concern yourself on that score. Through a combination of circumstance and laziness, I'm a plastic armchair fan. Just for clarity, it is my fandom that is plastic, not my armchair.
Quote: yeoldfaithful "would not matter if you didnt !! we would still get at least 15000 of our own support & hardly any police costs at all !! face facts , hull kr are under supported & need cash to survive at their current level . i think he should be encouraging us a little harder to help balance the books !!'"
Cutting prices, if that is what you mean by encouragement, would only contribute towards balancing the books if the % increase in numbers in the south stand was greater than the % cut in price.

I doubt anyone cares whether you go or not, plenty do and when the new stand is built you won't have any of the usual excuses to rant with, it will be down to 'I just won't go to support my team at Craven Park'
The south stand has always been a concession stand, we have charged full pops to other sides (Warrington in the cup I think was one), if you are going to sell enough tickets for a particular event then why the hell should you apply concessions, it makes no business sense whatsoever, I doubt your lot would discount for us. There is a difference between choosing NOT to apply a discount and jacking the price up.

Not if fans of all other clubs pay less.
Quote: Mild Rover "There does seem to be a lot of bitterness. Is it still the Paul Cooke thing?'"
No. It's the regular crass and insulting comments and statements made by your diminutive chairman at every available opportunity in both public and private.

Indeed. And the concomitant part of capitalism is the right of the consumer not to purchase a product or service which they consider to be overpriced.

You might want to look up the legal definition of a discount and then revisit that statement.

So why don't they put the prices up for the KR fans on derby day as well then? Or do their fans not need policing as they are angels?
It's an awful and poorly thought out "excuse" to try and justify his real reasons.

Why would we put the price up? We don't even put the prices up for the south stand, we just don't put them down either!
It's supply and demand, if we expect it to sell out why give a discount, I don't care about the view or weather when going to support my team and don't expect any discounts.
We put the price down for teams who don't bring many and try and encourage away supporters who are paying for travel on top of admission.

Don't try and feed us bullish*t, fella. It's pretty insulting to try and pass it off as that. The fact is it's £10 to get in for everyone else. The normal price is £10. The price for Hull fans is nearly double.

Again, if it's expected to sell out and it's down to supply and demand, why aren't the prices up across the board? Why only Hull fans? Why not a "discount" for all you Robins fans during the season and then "RRP" for the Hull derby? I'll tell you why - because your fans would be outraged (just like we are). You'd still get people to go, but they'd complain about it. Some would stay away. So don't feed us all this crap about how loyal you are and how you're a better supporter than us Hull fans.

so you would be daft enough to pay and stand in bad weather and not be bothered you can`t actually see your team play

How could they do that when people have already paid for their pass at the start of the season though?
FTR I agree with Hull fans on this, the South Stand should be the same price as against other clubs.

Every Hull KR fan has a season pass?
When Hull put up their prices by £1 for charity, it's across the board, not just for he Rovers lot. This is why these "supply and demand" and "policing costs" excuses are terrible. There is supply from both sets of fans, and there are crowd problems from both sets of fans, but only Hull fans have to pay for it? We're just being ripped off, end of.
