I'm with Hutchie on this one, must be where you sit in the ground I suppose, quite a few beer monsters around us too, but not the type that relish spilling it thankfully!

It was obvious it would cause more bother than it's worth as many argued at the time. If the club have any sense they will reverse the decision asap.

There was a touch of handbags near me in the South Stand just after the Radford incident. Nothing too major, just a bit of stand up, finger pointing, "Come on then!" etc. Others were telling the protagonists to shut up, sit down and watch the game. Stewards came and moved a bloke and his Mrs away.

Tempers can get frayed in such circumstances and alcohol in the seats fuels it.

That was just behind where I was sat. I normally sit on the right hand side of the stairs on 27 entrance. I was a little late on this occasion due to not being able to get passed Garbutts.

That is not what I am saying at all. I mean there is the odd idiot who will sup a few pints during the game, get lairy and increase the chances of bother as seen in numerous incidents yesterday.

The way to validate this is for us to get the SMC details of the amount of alcohol sold in the ground relative to the attendance. If it's gone up, more alcohol is being consumed and therefore the likelihood of alcohol-related incidents increases. As mentioned before, every week without fail me and the kids get beer spilt on us and it pi$$es me off. This didn't happen before, obviously.

at one point from were i was in the east stand on about the the 20m mark,
5/6 people came down from the back of the stand complaining about "not wanting to sit anywhere near those idiots back there" ?
so can only presume summut had gone on?

What do people expect when beer is involved ..Some people nowadays have 2 wine gums and they want to take the World on ..On the way out near the West Stand I stop a Hull fan having ago at the Leeds supporters ..I told him what went on the field of play had nothing to do with other teams fans ..The wife and I have been to Leeds Branch of 1PWO lunch today ..Even the Leeds lads who like they Rugby was in full agreement That the Leeds player should have been red carded as well we disgust the game in full with no nastiness

There were two idiots sat right near me on saturday and after drinking two pints each (that they had with them at the start) one left to get more at the 20 min mark brought back two more and by half time had drunk them now at this point they were not so bad maybe a bit drunk but they came back five minutes late of there t1ts so to say then started to shout swear be racist and they they were reported to the Stewards who did naff all and spilt beer on someone down bellow. Now they might be pr1cks sober but i doubt well hope for the sake of the community that they are that bad drunk. And i doubt they would of got to that stage if alcohol wasent allowed in the stands.

To stop people getting up and down all the time, and to regulate the amounts of alcohol, how about it can only be sold before the match, and within the first 5 minutes, and then halftime(inc the 5 minutes either side of halftime)?

Personally, I haven't been affected at all by the fact that you can now have your drinks in the stands. At the kiosk closest to where I'm sat, they appear to only be selling the bottled beer/cider, too, so non of this spillages lark that seem to be plaguing the other areas of the ground.

But I'm not fussed. I'm not even old enough for them to sell it to me.
