The point hes making (i think!!!) is Agar should definetely not have been given an extension to his contract until he had seen this season out, and then the board could have assesed the season, the performances week by week, and then offered him (or not) a contract extension, theres probably no one to replace him at this point, we all knew hed be here this season, its next season and the one after the majority are concerned with, i know i am, we should be going for a proven coach Hasle?r, Bennet? not a rookie like Agar, even Mcrea would be prefferable to Agar, at least then we saw some good, open, exciting rugby! and the fans do get behind the team, as proved today, and at every home match, its not the team, its the dour coach, people have a problem with!
if hullbg wants to make a protest against Agar, by Agar out on his shirt, then good on him!

and therein lies the problem, they need/must spend and bring in a decent coach, me, i'd defo try offer Hasler the money to come here, everyone has a price, or are we too tight to do that? who would you go for garroway?

| There are three other SL coaching positions to be filled at the end of the season as it is, doubt any of the three could entice Bennett or Hasler either!

The issue with that is 'Just IF' we finsh 4th,3rd,2nd of 1st or lower and win a grand final, Agar would be very high on the agenda of maybe 5 clubs in this years coaching merry go round... How much would we have to pay to keep him then??
People need to get a grip.. We've got a few players still out, we're not playing amazing yet and we are 4th in the table. Exactly where everyone wanted us to be!! We can be higher and have a full squad come the business end of the season. Support the team, coach and board and i'll see you in Manchester in October

Yes, they could quite easily do a better job with these players, we may be fourth right now but we've had some grim performances this season. He does seem clueless at time Agar, I'm not sure it's the right time to sack a coach and who we would attract to replace him but I can see why a lot of people do want him out.
Quote: Mrs Barista "Exactly! Were no world beaters, were sitting in 4th and tools still want Agars head on a plate...Could Bluey,Brown or maguire get us any higher???????'"
Yeah, they could quite possibly. On paper we have a very strong squad of players, yes we've got our injuries but you can't be telling me there hasn't too many below par performances this season. We are fourth off the back of wins against Catalan and Cas, we may be fourth now but we've got a tough game on our hands next and could easily slip down the league. I think we're a lot better than you are trying to make out here.

| I think that it's not so much where we're standing in the table, because 4th is great, but the manner in which we've been performing to get there.
That shirt looks a waste of £50 quid though, no matter how much I'd prefer to have a manager who could have us playing entertaining rugby, which is what I'd prefer to pay to watch.

If I win the euro millions I'll buy the club, which is more likely than agar winning us the GF

Spot on. Great post.
This is what I was trying to say in my post above and you said it better in a couple of sentences. Fourth is great to be in but getting there we've endured some shambolic performances and have got there off the back of beating Catalan and Cas.
Despite what some people have hinted around on here, we do have a squad worthy of a top four place in the table.

Think where we would be if we had beaten Crusaders, Salford & Quins.
Think where we could get to when we get Horne, Berrigan, Manu etc back on the park.
We have to be both optimistic and realistic; we will get into the play-offs which will be a considerable improvement on the last two seasons (and we should be satisfied with that) but in all honesty I can't see us staying in the top four.

Exactly, games that we really should've been winning and we would have been right in the mix at the top of the table.

Do you not think with the squad that we have though it is not unreasonable to expect to be challenging in and around the top four?
