Quote: Doc Brown "I have waited until this morning to post my thoughts on last night in the hope that I would have calmed down. Sadly I have not.

Last night was a disgrace! I keep trying to tell myself that it was Wigan and that I wasn't expecting a win. But given the amount of players they had out I expected a more even contest. Once again the players let us down (with the exception of Shaul and one or two others). They looked clueless and once again lacked any passion. They should be ashamed to be professional sports players.

But for all the players let us down, last night was the last straw for me with Radford. He hasn't a clue what he is doing. His tactics are woeful. Our defence is worse than it was last year and our attack is no better. It's his job to get those things right, get the players fired up for matches. Sadly he has proven that he can't do that for me.
W
He must go and it must be now. He's had his Wembley moment (the Widnes game) and he's had his Huddersfield moment (last night). I genuinely fear that we will get relegated if he remains in charge.

Noble's available. Tony Rea's available. Either of them could do a better job than Radford. I can't believe we sacked Gentle for this clown. Christ, I'd take Paul Cullen if we could prise him away from Sky.'"
what about Brian Smith? We could do a lot worse, I believe he's coaching the American team at the present time. He pulled us out of the mire when in a similar situation a few years ago.

Tony Smith, you having a laugh? He did well when Moran was splashing the cash and seemingly not worrying about the salary cap so won a couple of CCs but now theyre not so full of stars theyre almost as bad as us.

Powell seems the best option but why would he want to come here when Cas are going so well?

Aside from that were well fooked, we wont get a decent aussie so Noble is probably the best available. I don't think Noble would get us to the very top but he'd address the slide were in, get us back on an even keel and at least get this squad playing to its ability. Then with some high quality additions who knows how far we could go but anythings better than this dross weve had served up for fiveish years now

Are forgetting how he turned Hudds around and the two Grand finals he won with Leeds, not sure were you get the idea of Warrington splashing the cash, they have probably spent us much as us on players and will be operating at the same cap as us, they just us ei better and have had a better coach with a winning record.

I see your point, for the first time in years under Smith they are having a disappointing season, but there performances have still been miles better thans ours and I bet they will finsih in the top 6.

Why would we want a coach who has consistently finished in the top 4, won 2 grand finals and 2 challenge cups.

Unless you get someone like Wane, Brown, McDermott or Sandercock you're going to be saying that about whoever you appoint.

Brown as inherited good clubs with very good pivots, same as McDermott sandys in the same spot as us but with more experienced HBs, wanes got home grown stars coming out of his ears, Stephen Kearney is at the broncos & they are similar to us mid table 5 wins from 10 albeit been in a better league.

Sally, his man management skills in that were totally nonexistent. The way he dealt with Hock, Hardaker, Graham and the Burgess brothers was embarrassing!

McNamara cannot run a bath, let alone a team.

Keep well away. I'd rather have Radford.

Get Kear back as a joint coach. He knows how to win.

Don't see why Kear keeps getting mentioned. Yes he won us the cup, but the rest of his tenure wasn't brilliant by any means, and the players he had at his disposal were better than we have had in the last few years. If he was that good he would be in Superleague already.

We need a coach who knows how to coach in SL. Too many Aussies come over and sign average overseas players thinking they'd be stars in this league. It's a different style.

Either get an experienced coach who's been in this neck of the woods (so a Tony Smith or Daniel Anderson) or an assistant from a successful SL club who knows the workings of a successful system. Otherwise we might as well just stick with Radford as the others would be just as poor.

Mick Potter would be an alright shout as well.

Interesting to see how well the Eels are doing at the moment with Peter Gentle involved in the coaching set up.

Really now believe he was moving the club in the right direction and was well and truly stabbed in the back by the players in last years play off game. I don't see the CC final as such a disaster, the players didn't play the conditions and many froze in their first big final, happens to lots of teams.

Gentles softly softly approach didn't work and radders hard man initial approach hasn't worked up to now.

Still think Gentle was being undermined by our current coach who is now finding its not as easy as he thought it would be.
