When did we last finish a season in good form ?

good post wellsy,thought the effort was there tonight, but we have injuries now and a lot of them, even with a fully fit team we are a top 5 or 6 team,without half of them we are gonna struggle, am not writing this year of but its gonna be a struggle,hopefully next year we can start the climb up the table,i see the usual suspects are on here with there usual doom and gloom,at least there will have a good night in bed with there socks

I seem to remember Gentle saying in an interview with Humberside when he first arrived that even before he'd got here he'd spent his time watching as many dvd's of the last few seasons of superleague as possible.

The way he is shipping out players that were signed previously and feels are not the type he wants already, I would say is an indication that he wont be letting anyone come in unless he has indicated he wants them.

The club was in such a mess when AP took over that Gentle has his hands full with first team affairs without the distraction of the contract negociations once he's identified the player he wants.

Someone should start a falling out of love with the game thread for some of the downers on here

Which 2 have spent less time training with the squad than most? heremaia I can accept to a certain extent but he's been training with them for some time. horne has been here forever and seymour best part of a season

This has nothing to do with what I think, this is about how a large proportion of fans will interpret claims made just a few weeks ago and previous after the Leeds game without looking, that our club will finish in the top 4, fans expectations will rise.

Personally I am starting to think our PR is the worst I can remember for some time.

I know squad numbers don't tell the whole story, but they do give a certain amount of indication about who is and isn't first choice, so here are a few things to note about them[iaverage[/i squad number tonight wasn't even between 1 and 17, it was 19. This was significantly influenced by 5 of tonight's squad having numbers over 25; at the start of the season these players were not even close to being in our plans.

I think what we really need now is for the season to end, as it seems quite clear that there are a few in our camp who are pretty much done for the year, and several who just aren't good enough and we need to replace them. I'm as fed up as any with the last few seasons of 'wait until next year', but at least this time I feel like the people running the club actually feel the same and want to put it right. The recruitment announcements need to show that faith is not misplaced.
