Regarding the recent loan signing, lets be honest at this stage of a season it is likely a very difficult task to get players in on loan particularly if it is just until the end of the season with no deal likely following for 2025. I would add that regardless of releasing Pele & Ockunbor had we not lost Ashworth to injury and Sao playing jabbed up & losing Reynolds we possibly may have seen the season out with what we had. The fact is we have a very very lightweight team currently and need to get some size in and King Vuniyayaywa does that, ok he may no be the greatest but he has to be better than playing low on numbers and size. Yes we could have promoted Gardiner and Laidlaw to really see what they can do but we also have to think that Reynolds has gone and we will have Charles who will take a whole load of traffic so we need size to try and limit that and not sure Gardiner & Laidlaw would be enough.

As for Bullock, would have been good to have got him back if that was possible (especially when being so close to signing him last time) but I don't think Wire were likely to let him go to us if another club were also in for him.

As long as King Vuniyayaywa is only here until the end of this current season then I don't see it being too much of an issue. The positive for us is we have a player who will be wanting to earn a deal somewhere else for 2025 so will want to put himself in the shop window.

Not too bothered about Nikorima, hardly Bern great this year, hardly played in the NRL and just been sacked for being unprofessional.

Think if he signs long term, we have a decent chance of getting Laifai.

I know people will probably criticise him as a player now he's signed for rovers, but I'd have loved Mcillorum for a year, despite his age he's still one of the best hookers in super league, he'd have been great for Balmforth and Borough to learn off too, he's as tough as they come and a great competitor, would give our side a bit of grunt which we lack a bit too. Wonder how many bans him and JWH pick up between them

Not at their age, Mcilorum offers zero threat, strong defender that's it.

I'd be disappointed with either for next season.
