Said for most the season he is much better than we are seeing and if used the right way he could be a real weapon.

I still think he's better in the back row too. Out wide and with better support for offloads I think he could cause a lot more damage to opposition.

For me he's always played better or looks a much more effective player in the back row when he's running down the flanks rather than being used as a carthorse down the middle.
I honestly do think with the right coach in place and given a role he could be a very effective player, problem is the current incumbent doesnt know how to get the best out the players he has available.

The problem is he can't time his run as he never knows when the ball is coming and when it does go out wide it's too slow and he is closed down immediately.

| i deffo would love lauaki to stay next season but under if agar is still in charge then i have no doubts he would still get 10-15 mins a game playing at prop which is a joke. hes a good player that if gets used right could be alot better and hes young and also with the cap going up ect in the nrl getting a player as good as lauaki on similar wage could be very hard
FOR ME KEEP LAUAKI AND BYE BYE TO AGAR

Which would hopefully be sorted by a decent coach. The timing of runs by our forwards is generally poor across the board. Only O'Meley seems to bother dropping back to run onto it, the rest are usually standing practically still. It's not helped by our woefully slow ptb on most occasions though.

Surely Mr Pearson will have seen what Richard Agar can do over the past few season [TV matches etc] and will have hear and read what many have had to say on the subject of the head coach, long before he [Mr Pearson] decided to buy the club?

We can only hope so ! Hr. P is obviously an intelligent guy so he must know that there is a glaringly obvious way to immediately make the majority of fans very happy and firmly behind him and the club.
Get rid of the idiot and gives us a top quality coach (whatever the price)

I agree with you. I think that his best game was that away match against St. Helens. Following that I think that there was talk [from the coaching staff] that he must control his aggression etc. I would like him to play his natural game and run hard and fast into/ at the other team and cut out the 'hop and skip' or whatever it is supposed to be, before he runs into an opponent.
He is a big lad, he should use his weight and he could do some damage. He has a few games to show Mr Pearson what he can do and you never know he might be kept on.

Who knows? He admits his knowledge is limited to watching a few games on telly and the odd attendence at the KC.
His murmurings on this subject so far have not been encouraging, imo. And worse, if he doesn't do anything soon, any further signings will be Agar's - not the new man's.
Who will advise Pearson on the recruitment of a new coach [iif[/i it happens? Rule? Will he hire a consultant? Maybe Kath's recommended Gary again.

I think you're worrying about nothing, barring a miracle playoff run I'd be beyond amazed if Agar is still here next season. Pearson's track record in football proves he knows a loser when he sees one.
