I completely agree with you on every point about Radford. Apologies if my post implied it, but I wasn't saying it was solely poor recruitment that put us in this position, more a combination of Radford mixed with a few years of poor recruitment decisions and direction from our DOR's & Pearson.

I quoted your post as I agreed with your points. Just wanted to add that I think recruitment is being hidden behind as the main problem. Especially by the club. I couldn't believe I was hearing Radford quote that £400,000 of the cap was unavailable, as he implied it had been wasted on certain players. He has only himself to blame for not getting the best from those players.

If certain players are on £100,000 and they should be on £75,000, they are still £75,000 players, therefore stop moaning about what they earn and get the best out of them. Its almost like the first day as head coach for Radford was spent looking through personnel files at what players earned and anyone who earned more than Radford and didn't deserve it in his eyes went on to a black list.

I can see why Ellis is paid more than that, in a strong competitive team I could see him being worth every penny.

If the going rate for a SL player is around £60,000 then in theory many of our players are worth £75,000 as they would find other clubs willing to pay them that. Although I agree with your sentiment that non of the team are worth that going on this years efforts.

It would be interesting to know what Tuson earns, he wont have moved from Wigan for peanuts and can do no wrong in Radford's eyes, yet to me sums up the abject averageness of FC.

Rumours have been circulating for a while that he wouldn't sign an extension and his agent wanted more money than we thought he was worth. Sounds sadly familiar TBH.

Players like that always end up fooked. Agents are not there for career advancement - they get their 15% and are happy to push paper.

You'd think his father would be savvy about it, but if he goes, it's no big loss. Wingers and centres are abundant, particularly ones who don't have suspect defence.

Maybe things have changed ? I just threw it in for balance really - not claiming to know owt but it's not always the club at fault in these situations.
