Think Cartwright and the coaching team deserve a lot of credit. Certainly worked on developing structures and implementing them, whilst developing an actual team. Players 1-17 stood up and worked their socks off with & without the ball. Credit to Sezer & Cust who I thought guided us very welll. As had been mentioned by someone Hardaker looks to be an astute signing with his guidance/support throughout of Barron. Still a long long way to go but a promising and might I say refreshing start.

And breath deeply everyone I'm exhausted after watching that. Superb attitude and commitment from all concerned. For the first time, in god knows how long, we looked like a proper team working together, working hard and working for each other. Big shout out to those supporters who made the trip over and made Old Faithful ring out loud My head is spinning, never expected a win tonight. I'll never get to sleep later after that

Just shows what some cool heads, ultimate fitness and bags of wanting can do eh? The club has spent weeks on ruck control, its Cartwright's watchword and boy was it good tonight and it wins games. Well done the lads and the fans who went!!!

Really good performance, toughed it out with strong defence, carries and took our chances, think that is what our season will be like. Still improvement in our game too. Hard to pick out individuals, alot have been mentioned, but thought Sao was outstanding, really stood up to TPJ.

Special mention to Zak up there with MOTM for me, I know he’s had issues and I’m not excusing him for that, but he’s a competitor and that’s exactly what we need.

woke up at 3am, to watch FC... Superb performance , the experienced players really led by example .... Id be surprised if 'Moanaire' has anything positive to say..

Great unexpected win, 1-17 brilliant, so much fitter and organised than last season. Standouts for me were Rapana, Bourouh, Cust and Asiata. Thought Lane was much improved on last season too, looks to have bulked up a bit...Briscoe didn't look out of place as a centre. Still bits to work on, can't be giving that many penalties away v Wigan next week. McNamara needs to improve things and quickly, can't see Guash having much patience with him. Pangai jr looked overweight and Garcia is wasted at 9.

Just a bit unlucky there. And both the Rapana knees on Makinson and the Barron push in goal were really soft. Sao had a bit of a reactive grab when he was wrong footed, but it wasn't bad one, typical forward tackling a back sort of penalty. That and Cust speaking out of turn were the disappointing ones. Apart from that I thought discipline was fine.

But then again if Cas have genuinely improved tonight then there are no easy games (barring the face about Salford tomorrow)
