Just out of interest where would you rank Tom Briscoe in wingers that have played for Hull FC?

3rd for me.

1 Paul Eastwood.
2 Tevita Vaikona.
3 Tom Briscoe.

Briscoe is never the 3rd best winger we've ever had...

He's good but he's not amazing. He still has some major flaws in his game, which I think Leeds will improve, but he's still not a world class winger.

And while were on it, I won't support his return either. He'll be boo'd like every other opposition player and every player that, like Tom, left us under a web of lies and deceit..

Good riddance to a player whose heart wasn't in it for 2 years.

i liked best and blacklock and several others but only did short stints and tbf briscoe hardly missed any games from breaking into the 1st team i rate him, i think leeds have got a good player, look at it this way theyve got Hall, BJB, some good youth players briscoes brother and theyve give him a 5 year deal.

Didn't Vaikona play centre at Hull. I think he moved to the wing when he went to Bradford

think you are right so briscoe is my 2nd, when i first started going to boulevard Neil Turner was on 1 wing he was a good player i wonder what type of players them lads would have been if they was not part-time?

If you think his heart hasn't been in hull for 2 years you have been watching the wrong player. Despite not getting a pass for the last 2 years, his effort and attitude has been outstanding. One of our hardest working players, you will see how much we miss his runs out if our own half next year.

Tom would easily be in the top 3 wingers I have seen.

Vaikona played centre and only really played his best rugby 2nd division for us, his best rugby in the top flight was for Bradford.

Briscoe was miles better than Eastwood.

My top 3 would be sterling, best and briscoe.

Agree with you Dave. TB was also looking for work and only one of a few players that we've got who never ran it in half hearted.

Briscoe was/is class its a hard position to play wing and hes had bad and good games like any other player in SL, its hard when you think back of FCs wingers as the games progressed and got so much harder/faster, maybe Chico Jackson would be in my top 3 now...lol

Obviously not a Hull fan but for me Colin Best was a class player on the wing for you.

Well I have had a pass and have watched him play. He's has been poor for the majority of the season with the odd flash of brilliance. His performances increased in standard (after he signed for Leeds)...

He has always been largely poor in defence, regularly drifts out of position. Yes he scores tries but wingers do, he is not worth a huge amount of money and I'd much rather have Lineham in my side. He is and will continue to be a far better player than Briscoe..
